Didn't go to the stores yesterday or today so no OOP. Will probably go to the Farmer's Market in the morning for some produce before it ends for the year. B was waffles and bacon, made a big crockpot of chili which we ate for dinner and will eat for the next few days. L was sandwiches.

Was out late last night at a dance and have another one tomorrow afternoon (we ballroom dance). Had a lesson today and another one on Monday.

DH was much better when he got back from picking up his sled. And he got back with 20 minutes to spare before we even needed to leave for the bday party so the tantrum was REALLY unneccesary. His back is acting up and he is in pain so I know that is a lot of the problem today. I just hope he can keep his cool the rest of the weekend.

Thanks all for letting me vent earlier. So much for the 69 talk yesterday LOL.

    Weekend shopping:

Acme on Friday - some really good instant $ off your order deals, plus coupons:
10 boxes Quaker chewy granola bars ($0.50 each after qs and $ off - lunchbox snacks for a while)
    4 boxes Ronzoni healthy harvest
3 jars Newman's own pasta sauce
    1 5-lb bag sugar
    5 boxes scotties tissues
3 5-lb bags King Arthur flours
1 8 oz tub sour cream
    bananas
    OOP: $29.09 (saved $59.66)

    Shoprite
    4 cans Lysol spray ($1.88 - $1.00 qs)
    3 bags Reeses cups ($1.67 - $0.55qs, doubled to $1)
    grapes
    OOP - $8.83

    Today's damage:
    Target
    Meow Mix ($10.99 - $1 q)
toothpaste for the kids - $2.89
    Used $5.00 gift card
    OOP - $8.68

    Acme again:
    1 big canister Quaker oats ($2 - $1q)
3 boxes Ziploc bags ($2 each, used 1 BOGO and 1 $0.55 q, doubled - and got an unexpected $2 OYNY cat for 3 ziplocs)
OOP: $3.93 (and will send in for $5 SC Johnson rebate - profit!)

    Food co-op:
    apples
    spinach
    eggs
    butter
    bacon
    turkey breakfast sausage
2 lb natural ground beef (50% off in the freezer case, hurrah)
    $33.54 (ow)

    Total damage: $84.07

    Balance for October: $165.05/$200
plus $2 in ECBs and $2 cat for Acme

not looking real good for staying on budget... ack! the stockpile appears to be growing. i really needed the sugar and flour, though. I might pull it off if i can stay out of the supermarkets and buy nothing but produce until Halloween

I forgot to add $3.55 for McDonalds - isn't it crazy that the drink costs more than the food? Also, $9.24 to Kroger for Pull-Ups & Ice Cream. So my actual oop so far this month is $167.77. I'm over $7.77 for the first two weeks. I've got some ground to make up, but at least this is a lot better than the $400 I would've spent a year ago.....

By the way, so jealous of the snow. We get snow about once every seven years or so and it never sticks.

Checking in with my total spending for today.

WM: got a "recycling" bin and hubby needed a lunch bag thing among other odds and ends: 26.04

Chick-fil-A for dinner: 20.71 just ran out of time to prepare dinner since we spent the majority of the afternoon out and about

Also hubby stopped by for more energy drinks at some gas station yesterday (sigh): 3.48

Total OOP as of Oct 10: 149.94

Apparently i stink at sticking to my budget :shrug7:. I only have about $50 left to reach my budget and still 21 days to go and no rebates to look forward to for this month.

Next month WILL be better... maybe.?

OMG what a HOT day here in Tampa. Our youth football league went thru more ice today than any other day this season. And its October!!

I have a feeling my spend is gonna be very low this week. Our 2nd car broke last night and they can't get the part to fix it for a week. So DH will be taking the other car to work and I will be home bound. Gonna look over the sales again and maybe do my shopping tomorrow.
