Yuck. Yesterday is was like 89/90 with 90+% humidity. Double Yuck. Isn't it "autumn" - did the season's not get the memo this year?!

Still no more spending than my .52 apple. Trying to eat every last thing in the fridge before I got shopping. And I just don't have the motivation to do the "deals" right now. I think it has been AT LEAST 2-3 weeks since I went to CVS. (I did hit up WAG's pretty good last week however).

Sobe Waters, for example, are normally priced at $1.49 at my Kroger.
I only 'buy' them when they are on sale for .99,
and mainly to drive up my balance to get the total under 10% after qs
I use a .50/1 q so they do't cost me a thing,
but it puts +.99 onto my overall purchase balance.

By using the regular price, I should add $1.49 to the overall purchase balance - or .05 more cents to play with.

Got me?
Okay....I gotcha now......I'LL BE HITTING <10%!!!!!(some) Still more than usual-YEAH!!!!!

Agreed - sweet. I'm glad we cleared this up!

I suppose that since we now understand the beginning price to be the "regular" price, then we should use what tax that "regular price" would generate.

Agreed?

Boy I have a lot of reading to catch up on since yesterday. Thats what I get for spending 1/2 my day in the ER with dh and part of my afternoon on the phone trying to get my ultrasound results and get in touch with my dr. (still no luck but I did get through to a nurse who is getting the message to the dr. today) Oh and DH is fine by the way.

No OOP yet today, I am going to stop at Walgreens tonight, but lots of RRs to use so shouldn't spend a lot of my actual money.

Ok, for all you bread ladies - I have a question.

I have a great recipe for Tomato Herb Bread I want to try...but it makes two loaves. So is it better to halve it (and use half a packet of yeast) or to make both and freeze the second dough-ball?!

Is it even possible to freeze bread dough before you bake it?!

I'm going to bow out of the contest for this month. I haven't shopped much, but I've fallen way too far behind to go back and find/post receipts. My mom was here visiting for the first 5 days of the month, then I was sick the past few days...I'll still follow along and post any good deals I find or anything else helpful!
I actually gave away my bread machine when I moved last year...I hadn't used it in ages, but, of course, now I wish I still had it! I thought the mixes were expensive too...I just bought my own bread flour at Sams Club. A 25# bag used to be about $13, but it's been a couple years since I bought it. There are tons of good recipes and it doesn't take much longer than using the mixes.

We are holding out as long as possible and the house is averaging 61. Saturday night is suppose to hit 33. So I have a feeling it will come on Saturday night.
You must live in the midwest, 'close' to me.
But, I turned my heat on the very first day it got cold, which was October 1st.
I am a wimp!!

My pellet stove has kicked on in the middle of the night several nights this month. It has been beautiful here during the day but quite cold at night. Clear skys mean there isn't any blankets (cloud cover) to keep the heat in so we need a blankie at night. ;-)
