Yikes!
She posted that she spent twenty-eight cents (.28)
that would be 10% of $2.80
($2.80 would be 10% of $28.00)

SO...if the total was $2.80 or more,
and all you spent was .28 cents after coupons/discounts/gc balances,
then that purchase would not count towards your oop.

I keep this rule for those of us who still have to pay taxes on items that are FAQ (Free after coupons),
and for those who can "work-it Baby"

I was so tempted to go to Sonic today after I went to Giant Eagle but I resisted the urge and came home and had tomato soup instead. Yay me!!!

So much for my math skills! (And I was sitting right next to a calculator LOL)

Stopped at Ablertsons for fresh yeast and some table salt - spent .18 OOP, swaved $3.90 and got back a .50 CAT

Rye bread is rising as we speak :)

Went to Fareway tonight....got 10 packs of Marcal, 12 energy efficient lightbulbs (on sale for one penny each SUPER HUGE YAY! ), a tub of cool whip, 10 pounds of chicken, a can of tomato soup (the only thing I originally intended on getting ) and a tub of butter. Total OOP was $10.94...saved 50%. Which makes my new total $7.68 . (except that I STILL haven't gotten around to listing this weekend's shopping trips. I need to find those reciepts, perhaps I'll get on that after supper. Will probably go back to Fareway tomorrow morning for more lightbulbs and tp. Also thinking about picking up some of the canned pumpkin thats on sale for 77 cents. Can't really decide if I want to do that or just make my own from my pumpkins. Anyways. Didn't get anything in today's mail except for a catalog, didn't send anything out either. I really need to get back into rebates...

Today's Meals...

Breakfast - I had oatmeal, hubs had toast
Lunch - I ate at work, hubs took leftover lasagna
Supper - Grilled cheese sandwiches, tomato soup and baked beans
Snacks - Peanut Butter on graham crackers, some chocolate , and finished off last nights pineapple...

Okay. Just kidding. The reciepts weren't as hard to find as I thought. So here's those totals. Went to Aldi, spent $38.89 (!!) that's what I get for taking hubs with me Then to WalMart for litter box pads, lasagna noodles and the new All You total spent there was $12.10. Then to McDonalds, where we got a "quick lunch" and spent $6.33. Lastly, to our favorite little pizza joint that a really good family friend owns, and we spent $19 total after tip there. The pizza joint trip is a new Sunday night tradition we've been wanting to start. We said we wanted to start it when we have kids, but we decided we're close enough now that we'll start! So that OOP I don't feel a bit bad about So after it all, my new monthy total is $84.00 even. UGH!!!!!!

Aldi trip today, OOP was $7.79. I got 2 loaves of bread, 2 packs of bologna, and 4lbs dried beans. I am totally going to be slow cooking beans more often. Very frugal and very yum and very filling.

I cooked a meatloaf today, we had meatloaf sandwiches for dinner. Later tonight I am putting a turkey breast in the slow cooker with some onions and a couple cans of cream of mushroom soup and cooking on low overnight. It makes a VERY moist and yummy turkey breast.

Shoprite and Acme today, combined OOP $14.20. But my coupon buddy paid me back for the porkloin I got for her so $21.00.

My previous oop 24.49+14.20=38.69-21.00=$17.69 oop for oct.

Dinner was freezer kielbasa and hotdogs and salad.

So when we got home from church tonight DS1 looks in the fridge and says he wants salad for dinner. DS2 comes in and says he wants oatmeal, after walking around the kitchen and looking in the fridge he also adds BBQ sauce to his menu. Nothing like BBQ and oatmeal huh?
B oatmeal
L Chile con carne and noodles
D salad, grilled cheese, tomato/chicken noodle soup
S yogurt w/cereal, cereal, apples/oranges
Resisted the McD's monster on the way home, hopefully I can fight him off tomorrow too
Forgot to add 1.08 to my totals for the soup on sale at Buy For Less 2/1.
