I have gotten some amaZING deals on both in the past 2 weeks
Both Wonder bread and Sara Lee Soft & Smooth had coupons come out, as did that Sara Lee $3/1 IP for sandwich meat,
so if you can ca$h in on those deals, you'll be doing your family some good!!

Count me in for $200 for the month! I'm going to try again to do $200 including my expenses under 10%.

I will sign up this month. Out of necessity, (I broke my wrist and had surgery 2 weeks ago), I am out of work on Short term disability. My first 8 days was no pay, next 14 days at full pay, and then the rest of the days at 60% pay. So we will be living off the stockpile. My goal is to buy only:

fruit
veggies
milk
eggs
liquid coffee creamer
other perishables
.10/dollar items

I have

ECB
RR
Gift cards
rebates coming in

My goal is $50 for the month but we will see how close I come.

I missed the $3/1 IP...have not seen wonder bread coupons? Not sure about the sara lee bread coupons. But around here, does not seem to be any bread and deli meat sales that make me want to do the happy dance!! I am hoping to get in to my freezers this week and see exactly how dire we are as far as lunch meat.

I missed last month and I really need to keep track of these expenses and save for some important things coming up! Please count me in. My goal is $100 total for the month! Not sure if I can do it, but need to start someplace!
Edited to add: this is for one adult and one child!

I had to drop off mid-month last time I joined and I was pretty much MIA since then. My 2 toddlers had health problems and I spent a lot of my time in doctor's waiting rooms these last few months but everything is sorting itself out and I would love to join this month.

My goal has been to stockpile enough for the winter and stay out of stores as much as possible this flu season. I want my kids to stay healthy!

I will need to replenish:
-Dairy: milk, sour cream, cream cheese, cheese
-fresh produce
-my husband has a soda habit he will not break!
-there are some sales I know I will not be able to pass up

I'm starting the month with $17 in ECBs and a $25 gift card for Friendly's that I've had since Christmas. We usually spend about $150 a week and I really need to keep that way down low. I want to stick to around $75/week for groceries, fast food, entertainment and H&B. I'm not in it to win, just for my own discipline.

I'm going to go read the September thread for inspiration.

Edited to add: I also have a $5 Target GC when you buy $25 of groceries.

OK, I'm really going to work harder at staying in tune with this challenge.
My goal will be to cut the food spending to half of what it was last month which was half of the previous month.
So all of that said my goal will be $307 for the month for 5 people. No birthdays this month so yippy.
Keep your fingers crossed and say a prayer.

Great progress already Tiffany! Cutting your bill by that much down there in the land of tourists and no doubles! We used to live down there, dd still does. I'm always sending her my $1 Qs to help her with her groceries. And also care packages (she's in college there). We lived by Disney, so all the stores were so high where the timeshare/vacation rental homes were.

You can do it!! I'm looking forward to the challenge.

May I "audit" this month? I plan on putting cash for groceries/household items in a jar at the beginning of the month--take out to spend--put in refunds and see how I do. I have a couple CVS gift cards and ecbs to start, also, but don't want to actually keep track on here, but get in the practice and get inspiration from here and maybe join next month. I'll be doing $350 for the month for us 4 adults and my mom's house--which I do all I can for her with coupons, but if she gets a taste for something she'll want it right then, sale or no sale, so those can add up.

So can I "audit" this class?
