My goal is $ 200 a month again. This has really helped me stay on track.
It is going to be hard because my hubby and I are going to try to cut our carbs and try an Atkins/South Beach (mix) diet. We don't want extra pounds creeping in over the holidays.

I would like to join up again for October. Hopefully, all of the unfortunate stuff that happened in September is over and I can get back on track. I want to try $80 per week again for groceries and HBA...also including any fast food that I pick up on the fly. I already have most of my October meal plan completed based on what I have in the house. I'll have to purchase some things to complete the recipes and I will continue to stock up on the good deals. I plan on adding to my stockpile during the school year so that next summer I won't have to buy much at all, so we can travel some!!!!

Hi I'm new but would love to try this! I've been following the September Challenge for the past few days and can't wait to participate in this one and see how I do. I think I'm going to start with a monthly budget of $200 for my fam of 5 (hubby and three kiddos).

I forgot to add - $63 is my two week budget. Cody, can you put me down for a $126 monthly budget? (Weird number I know but I swear there's a "system" behind it )

Newbie here! Shooting for $200 for the month for 2 adults, 2 kids (one pre-K and 1 kindergarten) and 4 cats. Trying to keep purchases down to only fresh produce, milk and eggs... we'll see if I can pull it off.

Thanks, cody!

So only cash from my $63 spent will count toward my OOP for the month? And if the receipt shows savings of 90% or better, I don't count it at all?

We are a family of four, one still in diapers full time, one in nighttime diapers. We also have a cat and a (big) dog.

Also, I have a couple of ebay auctions going for BTFE and Cambells labels - will this income reduce my OOP as well?

After getting some AMAZING deals in Sept. on veggies and meats, hubby said "boy we won't need to do much shopping in Oct." So if he feels that confident so do I. LOL. Count me in.

Normal Budget: $250
Goal: $100 for the month, groceries, HBA, cleaning supplies.

Eating out is a separate budget for us. But I do count postage in my grocery budget for care packages I send to my college age dd and military ds. I also count any newspapers, coupon purchases(clipper services) etc. Any Qs I "sell" - I add that back into my grocery budget. Basically anything to do with stockpiling/groceries.

I have over $60 in rebates that should be coming in in Oct.. $9 OYNO Qs from Harris Teeter and will have some ECBs and RRs to use (won't know total until I do my CVS and Wags run later today or tomorrow).
