So, am I the only one who is stalking, waiting for someone else to post their finds from today???

I think since this thread needs some livelihood,
I am forced to take the kids out...
Somewhere...
Anywhere...

couldn't pass up the chicken deal
.39 lb leg quarters

got:
20 lbs. chicken quarters
10 yakisoba noodles
1 bag kluski egg noodles
oop...10.32

spent the afternoon watching the IOWA game (We won!) and roasting chicken (25 lbs. total, already had 5 lbs. thawed in fridge) then picked and bagged it (for freezer), and I'm now starting a double batch of broth......

No OOP today (well. there was. but it's coming from November's grocery budget, so I'll post it over in the other thread). Boring mail day...just the utility bill and a mailer from Beechnut with a freebie coupon in it.

Today's Meals...

Breakfast - Cereal for both
Lunch - Hubs took leftovers to work, I had a peanut butter sandwich and a cheese stick while shopping (packed my own lunch, go me!)
Supper - It's hubs' grams' bday, so we're taking her out for supper
Snacks - Laffy Taffy, Toaster Strudel (man, I haven't had one of those since I was about 10. Now I want more sales on them around here!), Halloween Candy (that is supposed to be for the trick or treaters )

It's been a fun month ladies! See ya over in November!

You are absolutely correct on being green with envy!!

ps. thanks for the Iowa game update. I lost track of the score when I was running in and out of stores. Now I won't look dumb when someone wants to talk about the game tonight. Well. I will, because I didn't watch a second of it, but at least I'll know the outcome

Iowa only really "Played" in the 4th quarter- sucked the rest of the game- especially 3rd quarter! bad bad Stanzy! too many interceptions! but at least they got their act together in the 4th, and pulled off another win-
final score... Iowa 42 - Indiana 24

I better get back to the kitchen- check back w/ you girls later..... have to see what cody came up w/ this afternoon!

Ran errands today...none from grocery budget..phew! Thanks goodness.

1000 thread count sheets $30 for king and queen sets - got 2 sets
got storage unit - first month $1!!! wooohoo!
hubby bought me a Starbucks hot cocoa...mmmmm
JCP to get dh a couple new dress shirts - Stafford Super shirts are on sale and there is a $10/$50 internet Q that expired today. Those shirts are our favorite, they wash well, stain resistant, and no-iron and they come in tall sizes.

Got $2.69 rebate in mail and paycheck for subbing in October.

Being in this month's challenge has been AWESOME! Yes, I had to ignore some great deals...but also got to take advantage of others (like a 3+ year supply of Snuggle!). I'll try to be back in the December challenge if all goes well in Nov. and our lives settle down. Thanks for the challenge!
