nateNnatsmommy-we're just pickin' (actually we're jealous). Great trip!

I guess I'll really get things going here with today's spending (so far-it's early). I bought some fresh fall peas today (happy dance) and they are gorgeous! A bushel of shelled (by a new pea sheller-another words they aren't mashed) pink eyes and one of acres. Now, I know it may seem like a lot but to me it's well worth it...(drum roll)......$32.00. Now I know some may be going "get real!", well they are and they will be soooo good with a big ol' chunk of hock and okra in them. Making my mouth water as I type.
TOTAL FOR OCT $32.00

Maybe since I've already got a big amount sitting by my name, I'll stay away from the stores....not.

I don't carry a purse so my change goes in a jar as well. It stays there until I feel like rolling it then I exchange for cash and deposit into the bank. I don't do much via cash. If I have cash I spend faster!

You don't carry a purse? Where do you put all of your coupons, id, miscellaneous mommy necessities, etc?

I keep a few dollars on me and I usually use credit just to keep track of what I spent. why I keep a few is because I remember when I shopped and my oop was very low like 50 cent something and I got a cashier said to my face like ..." are you gonna use credit card to pay for this...? " and I was using my debit card.... so I said I have no changes and by the way is debit card... since then I am carrying in a few dollars with me. Hate that feeling I don't know why it hit me that way... I guess if I am gonna try to do less oop I better give them changes..pennies I hope.

CVS - $7.50(?) not sure of exact amount, I'd have to look at my receipt later.

Makeup on clearance (NEEDED, was out)
CVS brand tylenol (I know, I know, but we are OUT and it was another NEED)

NO ECBs...

Not related to the grocery/stockpile challenge - Kohls - I had a $50 Kohls Cash thing and a 20% off Q. So got some sweaters, a couple clearance shirts for dd for Christmas and 3 games on clearance to start my "Christmas charity" giveaway box. I have set aside about $35-$40 to buy toys etc to donate for Christmas. Its not much, but hopefully I can keep catching good deals between now and Christmas time. Maybe I'll take some of the grocery money I'm NOT spending this month and add to that money. (I took it out of my first paycheck for subbing this year).

I wasn't planning on spending that much at CVS but have to have the pain medicine until the dr. comes up with a better solution. And we were out. Now why I didn't go to Walgreens and use some RRs??? Duh....because I didn't even think about having the RR's in my wallet...oh well.

I have a wallet that I keep in my back pocket (I almost always wear jeans) for my $, ID Etc. My Q's are stored in my binder and Q checkbook file things and all of those are in a reuseable shopping bag. I usually have a couple packs of fruit snacks in my Q bag for when DS's are shopping with me.

As for other Mommy necessities, I don't carry those with me all the time. I have a few pullups in the car, I don't wear makeup so nothing to tote around there. Basically I'm a tomboy.

I'd give you some strength but I don't think I have enough for me let alone to share. Can't we stockpile strength? I'm always running out.

HAPPY DANCE Re: OCTOBER challenge: Living Off Of Your Stockpile. Let the Games Begin!

I got a few pm's questioning my shopping.
I don't mind a bit sharing what deals I find, so please do ask.

My KMart is doubling this week.
Anything up to $2.00,
no limit on the number of coupons,
they also have a few deals going on that I am able to stack together to make a profit.

The diapers I need, but I never want to pay for them again(Too many years of supporting the industries, then went 'green' and cloth diapered, but now get them for FREE or nearly free, so I'm embarassed to say that I too contribute to the land fills:sad:)
Alas, they are included in a deal if you purchase $25. worth of SCJohnson products you get $5 oyno, and if you spend $50 you get $12. oyno. These cats roll. Kmart: Scenarios to get $5/$25 and $12/$50 please?

Also included in this deal is Nature's Source cleaning products. When you buy 2 of these products, a $2.00 oyno cat prints. I *think hbaqueen first posted about this deal, but I am not positive. Is Nature source still printing $2 CAT when you buy 2

ALSO included in this deal are Glade products. And I saw signs that if you were to buy $20 worth of "holiday" scents, you get a $5.00 cat oyno. Again, I believe hbaqueen made me aware of this honey of a deal which includes holiday ziploc bags as well - if you have the qs for those.

(Yes! I am that annoying lady who sits down right there on the floor in front of the end cap working out my deal; clipping my inserts and calculating long-hand what will make up the best bang for my buck)

So using 2, 3/1 diaper coupons, 2, 1/1 Nature's Source (which then double to $2/1),
and a plethora of FREE Glade and B1G1 Glade, I was able to utilize my last $12 oyno, and pay a resounding .97 for everything!!

AND walk away with $17 in cats
Nothing like shopping to take my blues away

Also, someone recently posted about a rebate that SCJohnson is doing which can be done multiple times per household. I'll try to find those links.
