Evening all. SO and I went to a farm auction in MO today. It was kinda nice just the two of us. Although we are together almost all the time, it was nice to be doing something fun together. After the auction we drove around Maryville for awhile and stopped at Mc'Ds(his treat) oop $13.04. They have the most wonderful Walmart there. It was big, roomy, stocked and actually had sales people and wonderful cashiers. I picked up 7 more Air Wick I-Motions no oop. I think I am going to use them in gift baskets for Christmas. No mail today and it was blah and chilly again, but sunny and 60 tomorrow(not holding my breathe). DS1 left with the Scouts for another camp outing and DS2 is at his fathers. They will both be home tomorrow and as I have said before it is easier to cook for 4 than just me and SO.

LOL Have you ever tried peanut butter Ritz mini bites in veggie soup? MMMM..yummy! Guess I will have to give the rest away, since I have no room to freeze it. Refrigerator is full with it in there...barely had room . I got some rubber-maid containers during spring at CVS on clearance with soup in mind... but no room in the freezers wahhhh. I know its my own fault, gives me a reason to clean them out & get ready for brunswick stew. I need a deal on crackers now , lol!! Got a great deal last year at Food Lion & stocked up for the winter. This year the closest thing I have seen is Zesta bogo at LF = $1.57 ea., I know I can do better than this! Anyway...going to lurk around for a few then watch a movie with the guys (DH co-worker gave him several movies, good ones too!).
Nabisco premium crackers are included in this kraft holiday rebate (link)- I saw $1/1 tearpad Mq's in front of them at the grocery store yesterday too.. they had a shelf price of 1.99 here before Q.. so .99 after Q, buy 10 get $10 rebate= Free

hope that helps you stock up for soup season!

if anybody needs a few of the $1/1 saltine Q's I can probably grab some next time I'm over at fareway

OH MY! We go to that Walmart whenever we go back to DH's home town - just 40 min. north of Maryville- Yes- It is the BESTWalmart I've ever been to! Very clean & friendly, and soooo not like our Walmart... MIL loves to drive all the way down there to get groceries, even though they have a HyVee right in Bedford. The walmart in Grinnell is also nice like that- but I only go to that store when are out at the cabin.

How funny because this was my first time going through Bedford. I said to SO "Look how small that Hyvee is. It's no bigger than the one in Leon." And that Walmart is at the top of my list. I think I might actually write some letters about how great the store is and how some Iowa stores should take note.

I think it's funny u said that- Dh is defending that tiny little store!

up here in CR- that little HyVee is called HyVee drug store(used to be Drug town) (or at least it's the same size!) heck- the Dollar General in Bedford is bigger than the HyVee. My Dh worked at that tiny little HyVee in high school.
Our HyVee's are huge! so I think it's tiny too!

Wasn't that the CLEANEST Walmart you've ever been in?

on another note- had a good mail day today 2 envie's of Q's and a $10 Target GC from CC rewards.

isn't it!?!?!:shrug7:
Is your DS still doing these subs? I let my all you expire- that is a great rate for 2 yrs. I'd be interested if I could order through him.

Do you think all the Fareways have this tearpad out? I'll have to go tearpad hunting tomorrow...there was a $1/1 cool whip can that I wanted to grab too, since I'm pretty sure I've seen that go on sale for 99 cents every now and again. Can't beat free cool whip for all that holiday pie making! Anyways, thanks for the heads up on the saltines deal, I don't have any crackers stockpiled and hubs called me on it the other day

DH got thrown off a horse yesterday at his dog trials,
so he is enjoying the attention he is getting by me being his nurse/maid

Breakfast this morning was egg sandwiches (SURPRISE!!) and sausage links.
Coffee for me.

Psssssst. I HAVE to get out of the house today:hectic1:
