QUESTION Does anyone coupon/sell their stockpile for a living?

Just wondering if anyone does this as your only source of income (not including your spouse's income)? It just seemed like there are quite a few people here who sell at flea markets or have regular yard sales so I was just curious.

My mother does this for a living. I sold my stockpile of 8-9 months at a flea market. I had way too much for a family of 5. I figured someone else can put it to good use and they would be getting it way below regular cost in the supermarkets.
Well I made around $700 and when my mom saw what i made she decided she would do this for a living. (Despite the many times I tried to get her to use coupons for grocery shopping).

My mother is 60 years old and have no other source of real income besides what I give to her for babysitting my children ($200 a month).
She enjoys it. It gives her something to do. I see no problem with it but my mom gives some of the money to my mooch of a sister who is capable of getting off her butt and getting a full time job (but that is another story, lol).

I take my extra's to work and put it in a box and people come into my office and buy it. I can't keep up with the supply and demand anymore the minute I bring anything in it's gone. It gives me extra money to buy things like gas during the week or to just get by. If there's something I really want to buy I save up for it with the money. I'm glad my boss doesn't care if I do it. He even buys from me.

I have a friend who sells products at work too. She makes soooo much money from doing it this way. More than what she makes at Flea markets. Everyone loves to buy bodywash and lotion from her.

How much do you calculate your mom spends and what is her profit... We just consume our stock pile... Never thought of selling it, even though I had a yard sale this summer...

Rather than going to the effort of selling our surplus we just don't buy that product until we are low again. We take the money we would have spent and move it to our entertainment budget. We do keep back some (25%) and use it to re-supply when needed.
