best containers to freeze liquids?
i need to freeze a liquid in quart size containers. what is the best way to freeze liquids?
has anyone frozen liquids in ziplock/onezip bags? if so, which brand holds liquids better ziplock or hefty? i have plenty of both. i thought the bags would allow for more compact storage then a bunch of mason jars.
any other suggestions would be appreciated! :)

Re: best containers to freeze liquids?
I've frozen liquid in ziploc bags. I think the ones that said "double zipper" on the box.
Then I lay the bags on a cookie sheet - and put them in the freezer that way
(unless you have a whole empty freezer shelf -)
so that the bags freeze flat. Much easier to store them as a stack once frozen. Hiope that helps / makes sense.
**PS I also stand the bags in a mug, measuring cup, whatever - while I fill them. I turn down the top of the bag about 2 inches- kinda like a cuff as I fill.
I dont know what sort of liquid you are freezing. But never assume the unzipped bag will stay upright while you turn your back for a teensy weensy second.... "there was that time with the gallon bag of sloppy joes...." It was ugly

I have used the one zips and they do leak if you do not set them upright. They leak at the seam where the zipper end is. You also have the chance that the zipper seal with pop open from the weight of the product pushing at the zipper end.
