Well I will be starting out the challenge with
$10 Cat for Hy-vee for buying a bestbuy GC the other day.
    $10 gc for hy-vee
    $8.xx gc for hy-vee
$15 in GC to Target from rolling my poptarts
    $20 kroger GC from RX
$13.22 attached to my kroger card for RX
$12 walgreens cats. Have 2 more ecotrin coupons so will be $16 will have to pay .24 tax though.
    $1 cat to local store.

That is close to $90 should have very little OOP this month.

Oh I guess I should probably list out what I have as well.

    $10 WM GC
    $25 Walgreens
    $20 Rite Aid
    $40 GC Starbucks

That's all I can think of right now. How do we count money that might come in this month from previous rebates? Does that count as OOP? Or how about this -- I bought some worcestershire sauce tonight that ended up being the wrong brand. Can I return it tomorrow and count that as spending money for this month?

I've not done this before so I'm learning along with ya'll!

You know, I had a thought this afternoon. This might not have been the smartest time for me to make this move since my nephew is coming to visit on Tuesday for a week. He's not used to having stockpile snacks around all the time and I know stuff might go a little faster than normal.

    Good questions!

How do we count money that might come in this month from previous rebates? Does that count as OOP? NO! This would not be considered oop. Or how about this -- I bought some worcestershire sauce tonight that ended up being the wrong brand. Can I return it tomorrow and count that as spending money for this month? Hmmmm. No, I don't think I would count that as oop for June.

    I am starting with:
    a $40.00 gc to Wal-Mart
    a $1.00 OYNO for Kroger
and $48.25 in rebates (that I still need to cash in) from May.

So, what do you have the most of in your food stockpile that you'll be trying to use up? I have tons of meat, but not a lot of veggies. When I think of stocking up, it's always trying to get the best price on meat. So I have lots of pork loin and chicken breast, a few steaks and some whole chickens, along with several frozen pizzas.

Doing this during the summer will be more difficult for me with the kiddos home. I don't know about ya'll, but at my house my kids think they can just go grab whatever and eat it whenever they want it, as long as it's not the hour before dinner. They're always in the pantry! I can't really get that upset with them though -- they're both about as big as a minute and ALWAYS on the move and completely healthy.

I don't do a lot of processed foods with the exception of cereal, so I'm going to have OOP on fresh veggies and fruits. I do have a craigslist offer out to swap some stockpile for fresh fruits and veggies and I hope that will be fruitful, (lol) but I only put that out this morning.

    I am starting out with:
    $5 Target GC
    $25 ECB's
    NOt too much!

Anyways, I have several weeks worth of meals in my fridge as far as meat goes. Mainly ground beef and some steaks and roast. I would love to find a good sale on chicken. The essentials I will have to be getting are milk, bread and some fresh veggies (although we have a garden and we are just starting to get produce).

Im off work today and feel the itch to go shopping which definitely isnt going to help with this challange!

I too have the same itch! Summer break just started on Friday, and I am already feeling like we need to get out of the house. Tomorrow we have to go into town (a 45 minute drive) for a dentist appointment, so I am trying to hold off. Gas is getting so high again :(

But we'll stop at Grandma's for a visit, and that always makes the kids happy :O)

    Thank God for Grandmas!!!!!

I am in! My budget is $125 a week so I am going to stick to $25 a week this month. We are pretty stocked so we should be able to do this.

Ok, I am SO stoked! I have been sweating DD's birthday because I know where she wants to go and it will be at least $70 for the meal (for the four of us). So I got a bright idea and checked restaurant.com -- guess what? Got a GC for $25 and paid $2! It was last week though so I guess I don't have to count that. I'll just count whatever we spend over and above that. It's her birthday dinner but I do think I'll be making a cake and we'll be drinking water with dinner, not soda.

    I love saving money!

    I am starting with:

    $2 OYNO for Albies
    $13.24 WAG gc
    $49.62 CVS gc + $10 ECB
    $15 Target gc
$30.16 in free coupons that are going to expire in June

In my stockpile I need to use up:

2 boxes full of Bertolli sauce
    1 crate of Lipton sides
    10 cans of Spam
    24 boxes of cereal
1/2 a freezer full of frozen mixed assorted veggies
    24 bottles BBQ sauce
12 bottles of various salad dressings
    9 canisters instant oats
    18 pounds of white rice

Now if I can just get the kids to eat BBQ oatmeal for the next 30 days......

Seriously though, my ultimate goal is to get these things eaten, and not buy much 'new' stuff even if it's free, because then my family just wants the new stuff until they are bored of it.

Also, I think I will make a donation to the food pantry at the end of the month too.
