Anyone got a recipe for something different to do with my shrimp or fish?
Some of it's starting to get freezer burnt.
We are tired of fried, grilled and coconut shrimp.

you have tilapia fish? yum!! heres what i make with tilapia fish
4 tilapia fish filets, baked in oven with 1/3 white wine, cooking sherry, water or broth, with a pat of butter, some salt and pepper baked in a 400 degree oven for about 15-20 minutes.....this will flake and fall apart like this
use 2-3 cups prepared rice (or rice pilaf) cooked
1 cup of mixed veggies
2 cans of cream of mushroom (or cream of celery, chicken would work...but i never buy it so i dont know how it tastes)
2 -3 cups of milk
take the fallen apart, flaked tilapia, put in pot, add remaining ingrediants simmer for 15 minutes or so=fish soup
i only make this because the first time i bought tilapia a few years ago, i didnt know how to cook it...but @ 39 cents a pound i was going to like it and find a way to cook it!!!!!......meat guy told me "cook it just like you would salmon" (which is why thats how the fish is cooked the way it is).......i was always brought up that if you eat fish, you eat rice with it...so my fish flopped, my rice was done, my veggies were ready....i tossed them all together, still looked odd, added some cream of mushroom soup and some milk and woohoo!! i had soup:)
i dont know any other way with tilapia though......hope that helps
kids ended up with breakfast @ school and lunch (waffles then cheese pizza)
i had shrimp with lime cup-o-noodles for breakfast, lunch was a tuna sandwich and strawberries....i didnt see mr latte eat breakfast.....he then went with me to the dollar tree that was a mistake!!!! (he ended up eating hashbrowns, sausage *which i wont buy again because he says they were ickky* and eggs
on my list @ dollar tree was
*sea salt grinder=1.00 (these are REFILLABLE!!! so i can buy peppercorns, cloves and other spices to grind )
*frozen peaches=1.00
*frozen peas and carrots=1.00
what should have been only 3.00 ended up being 7.00!!!
what mr latte threw in the cart
*spegiti sauce (geesh i have 20 or so cans of hunts!!!)=1.00
*hashbrowns=1.00
*microwave sausage (um hello??? theres like 4 packs of links in the freezer!!!!)=1.00
steak fries=1.00 (eww? i like homemade fries!!)
dollar tree=7.00
winco=8.66 (6.71 counts)
10 bumble bee tuna @.94-.55/1=3.90*only 1.95 counts as MY spending* (technically i need to "split" this cost as half of them are going to mom)
2 webber packets@0.53 -1.00/2=0.06
4 lbs strawberries @2.98
4 betty crocker pouch potatoes @0.68-.25/1=1.72
total=6.71+7.00=13.71 +1.78 from 6/2=15.49
mom counts retail value(her decision NOT mine) in paying her back 300 -4.70/5 tuna packs=295.30

I guess I should state what I'm starting out with. My pantry/stockpile is FULL. We have an entire room in our house just for stockpile stuff, along w/the cabinet space in our kitchen and fridge/freezer, along w/the a deep freezer.
Loads of frozen (vacuum sealed) meats - pork, burger, chicken, etc.
(at least) 200 frozen bags of veggies
Cleaners to last a yr
HBA to last about 3 yrs
Canned fruit/applesauce is a-plenty
120 canned veggies/beans
150+ boxes/pouches of noodly-stuff, potatoes
100+ canned tuna/chicken
200+ boxes of cereal
50+ boxes of oatmeal
All kinds of chips, gummies, oatmeal bars, etc.
bottled water, propel, tea, vitamin water, etc.
Plenty of poptarts, waffles, toaster strudel, etc.
(29) 12pks of coke/pepsi, etc.
We also get WIC for our youngest (4gL of milk ea. mos, 1 dz eggs, 3 juice, 32oz. block cheese, 36oz. cereal).
Honestly, I've not been spending a whole lot each month for awhile. Just focusing on stockpiling free, or super cheap stuff (like $0.50 or less), and building my stock of stuff to donate this fall for the food drive at school and the shoe boxes at church.
I also have:
$20 cats for Kroger's
$30 ECBS for CVS
$60 Kmart gcs
$28 Target gcs
$50 CVS gcs
$20 RA gc
$10 panera gc
$76.85 in prepaid Visa/MC from mail-in stuff
Oh and tonight's dinner was grilled canned chicken, lipton noodle stuff, corn, broccoli w/cheese and milk.

If you could spare one, please remember my family in your prayers.
I had to stop at the local grocery store on the way home to get a few missing ingredients for the next few dinners. I live in a really small town and our local grocer is very expensive!
Got the following:
1 can of cream of mushroom soup - .95
Chocolate syrup (DS's treat for milk) - 1.79
Cubed steak (family pack) - 4.63
Tater tots (for tonight's casserole) - 2.58
Total 10.84
Do we need to count OTC medications in this challenge? DS is sick and I had to stop and get some Dimetapp, if so, it was $4.89 after my coupon.
