Does this work or do they get gross. They are on a good sale and I was thinking of getting some for DD's b-day party in a couple months. I could also wait. Can they freeze?

I freeze these all the time, just thaw in the fridge. I also freeze the shredded and crumbles, cream cheeese and butter/margarine.

I froze them too after last summers deal with the Kraft TP's (Free Kraft Singles) and they are fine - no weird texture or anything funky.

Nope, I've never had the texture be affected. I freeze shredded and blocks too, and those come out well!

Thanks for the freezing info! I was curious about this since I have a bunch in the freezer.

I am thinking just pulling the slice cheese out a few slices at a time for grilled cheese sandwiches this summer for the kids.

    Appreciate the help :)

Just curious, because I've never frozen cheese/butter/milk .... how long do they keep for in the freezer?

We still have singles from last summer in our freezer. Thawed some last week, no issues at all. My mom has frozen butter for months as well.

We don't normally freeze milk since we don't have the room but I recall Navy wives we knoew having them for a month or so no problem. So long as you remember to remove some to allow for expansion you should be ok.
