    HELP Question regarding "yard" sale

I don't know whether I can ask this question here, if not, please direct my post to the right place. thanks

I don't have house, but I have accumulated bunch of stuff comparing to non-couponer, it's bunch.
I don't have a house, so I don't have a yard. I'm wondering how I can sell those stuff out.
I tried craiglist, it doesn't work. Nobody asks for them.
I noticed some people sell them in park or some public places.
I'm wondering is it legal to put up a stand, put on a "Sale" sign and sell them in the public places?
If anyone lives in WI and have had this kind of "yard" sale, would you please give me some tips or suggestions?

    thanks much
I have tons of SS and RP coupons to offer. Only $1.50, you will get a full envelope of great coupons.

Do you have a flea market? Some folks sell theirs there.

If you know anyone with a house, they might be willing to host a sale for you -- combine your stuff with theirs.

Lots of folks sell their stuff at work -- make a list of what you have, bring samples, and allow folks to order what they need.

Keep an eye for places having flea markets, a lot of churches have them this time a year & the money usually goes to charity. A church near here just had a "rent a space" yard sale, I thought that was a cute way of describing it. And the money to rent a booth went towards a missions trip the church was doing.

unfortunately, I searched and there is no flea market in my living city. All my friends who have a house live really far from me.
I tried to post a flyer on my company's board, they won't allow it. I only worked in this company for almost a year. I don't think it's a good idea to sell at work at this point.

We have a big university in my town, that's why I'm wondering whether I can put a small table with "sale" sign in front of Library. Would that be legal? I have no idea where to ask for it. :shrug7:

I don't believe it would be legal to set up a table on public property. I think it may be considered loitering. Depending on your city, you could possibly get a fine for it. I personally don't think that is a good idea to try. Sorry!

Do you live in an apartment I had a friend who used to hold "yard" sale in her parking space in the apartment complex -with permission- maybe talk to the managment and your neighbors and see if you could do it-maybe some neighbors would join in? I have seen sales in alleys, garages, yards, driveways, balconies, I have even seen people sell right out of their apartments..

    Hope this helps...

The University in my town has a "flea market" every other Weds during the school year. It's not big, maybe 15 vendors, but I have sold HBA items there before. You may want to check with someone at your closest University...although this isn't the best time of year as they are about all done. Fall is great, while the kids still have $$.

    Good luck to you.
