I've done freezer corn with my neighbor. This is how she did it. Boil cobs 8 minutes, dunk into cold water, then cut niblets off the cob. Spoon desired serving size into freezer bags. Stack & freeze flat. So yummy. I still have some from a few years back. I just thaw a bag heated up with a little pad of butter. So good. I think I'll make some this weekend.

can it be frozen uncooked, on the cob? just put it in a freezer bag and into the freezer? I buy it sometimes at walmart but I dont know if its been cooked already or not?
Don't know if this will help, but I just typed "freezing fresh corn" in the search box of my search engine and came up with tons of pages of information. The first few look very easy, and some of them are "org" addresses. I would trust those. With corn really fresh & cheap now, good luck and will you let us know what you try & how it turns out?

No, it has to be blanched first, otherwise it will be like eating cow corn when you cook it. It's really easy too do, it just takes some time.
Actually no it doesn't. I freeze mine all the time without blanching and we think the taste is much more like fresh corn than when I was blanching first. I just husk put the whole cobs in a freezer bag and freeze. Delic in the winter.

I've frozen it on the cob without blanching it, and I have taken it off the cob and frozen it. Both ways have worked well. I have also canned it, which works really well, but you have to have a pressure cooker.
