Default What do I do with all these biscuits?

I have a ton of pillsbury grands canned biscuits and I don't think we will ever go through them before they expire. Right now, my freezers are so full, I couldn't fit a pack of ketchup in them. I need some recipes that use these, as we can only eat so many biscuits for breakfast. Thanks!

i saw rachel ray do something where she put the biscuits in a large muffin pan and shaped them like a shell, then put cooked ground beef and shredded cheese in the center, sounded good but i never tried it. i was planning on doing that one this weekend as a matter of fact.

i have also used them as a top layer of a chicken, rice and soup casserole. thats about all i know what to do with them besides throw them against the wall and watch them stick but i was bit younger than.

You can make monkey bread with them, which is really good, (sort of a cinnamon coffee cake/yeast roll type goody, you can cut a hole in the middle of each bisquit, (I used to use the washed lid from like a spray pump bottle, anything that will make a smallish hole.) Deep fry them in shortening until light tan/brown and them throw them right out of the pan in a small lunch sack with powdered sugar until they are coated, and walah, homemade doughnuts. They are very good. Low in calories! Ha! You can also use them as sort of a crust base for chicken pot pie, or other pot pies. I have seen the recipe for that, but have not tried it myself, as I prefer to make homemade pie crust. You should be able to get the monkey bread or the pot pie recipe online easy enough. Just try googling it. HTH!

I would look up ideas on the Food Network site. Paula Dean and Sandra Lee (Semi-Homemade) use them other.

You can make little pizzas. My husband goes on about how they made them for New Year's Eve when he was little. You just peel apart the biscuit and add toppings.

I like the idea to make dounuts. :smile77:

My family favorites (the family that hates biscuits)

    Bunuelos

Cut into quarters and fry until puffy and brown. Coat with powdered sugar while warm. Eat as is, or serve with warmed jam.
As DH says "these are biscuits??" Cinnamon rolls work great this way also, just drizzle with the frosting instead of powdered sugar.

    Mini Pizzas

Roll out flat and top with marinara sauce, cheese and toppings of your choice. Bake at 400 for 10-15 minutes, until crust is brown and cheese melts.
This is awesome for kids because everyone can top their own!

    Breakfast sandwiches

Bake biscuits according to directions. While baking, fry up some bacon or sausage and scramble some eggs. While biscuits are hot, add a slice of cheese and top with eggs and breakfast meat.
Pretend you are serving these from a drive-thru window to your family.
Works great with crescents also, just bake them as squares instead of rolling them up.
