great ideas from everybody...i was aware of some, but the peroxide ones were really great. I guess using peroxide as a cleaner would be better for the environment too??

Instead of buying a detangler spray... make a mixture 2/3 water and 1/3 conditioner, place in a spray bottle and use.

After living through a hurricane with no water or elec. for a while you can use it for human waste as well.

Get a 5 gl. bucket
place grocery bag in bucket (make sure there are no holes)
Put appropriate amount of litter in the bag that is in the bucket.
place child's toilet seat over bucket with the handles of the bag hanging on the outside of bucket.
Do your thing you need to do.
Tie bag shut and put in garbage receptical.

make balloon weights...

shiny paper (tinfoil will work in a pinch)
a handful or two of clay litter
bring up the corners, and tie shut with curling ribbon..

add balloon...

That is a great tip!
We were w/o power/water for a week a few years back. My DH
insisted that we do our thing outside. But with 2 teen girls and a toddler girl, that was not happening. We had to drive to an area with power 3 times a day to do our thing.
But if you buy the right sort of litter, you could scoop your poop and
be ready for the next sitter! LOL

I can't believe how many times something has spilled in the car. Not a problem ... just throw some litter on it and vacuum it out the next day. Smell is gone and liquid is absorbed so no mold.

Hair spray - immobilize spiders before you get close to them. We have big wolf spiders around here.
