    Default organizing stockpile

How does everyone organize stuff in their stockpile like the bagged foods (ie goldfish, oreos, doritos)?

I have so many bags of stuff, but don't know how to keep it neat and organized on my shelf!

for me I recently bought these stacking bins much like the ones pictured here at Kmart (3 bins for around $15) but I seperated them and put them on shelves in my garage. I have one with goldfish, one with fruit snacks (out of box) one with candy/gum, one with seasoning packets, one will handisnack and hunts puddings, one with lipton pasta and rice sides, one with hot cocoa, one with chex mix, one with trail mix and sunkist almond accents.

For big bags of chips I just tossed them on a shelf.

I sure wish I could use my garage for bagged items. I only store stuff like fabric softner, detergent, soap for dishwasher & the like. If I put food out there of any type I would have ants everywhere.

we dont have much of a bug problem here...I do spray the perimiter of the floors with ant/roach spray. I have never seen any roaches here. Ants are usually red ants and they never seem to have infested anything.

I store all my food in the garage (no areosol cans or mayo in the winter), non food is upstairs mostly in my bathroom/laundry room. And we have a 4 ft high crawl space where I store laundry soap and the like. Its damp down there...so nothing that could be ruined by the moistness.

Oh, I love those bins. I had found some milk crates I was going to use, but you have to pull it all the way off the shelf to get to it. I like how those are open in the front, yet will still hold the stuff in.

I like those bins, I might have to get some. Those will go perfect on my shelving units and easy access with the fronts open!!

We have those bins too. We use them in the pantry for holding potatoes & onions. DS has some in his room for toys.

We have those screamer things in the garage to keep pests away - the kind where you plug them in and only mice and bugs hear the frequency - works just fine for us!

    Default Stockpile Shelves

I was wondering where does everyone get their stockpile shelves. I'm getting to ready to start mine but need to find out what to use and where to buy them. Thanks Jamie
