I just saw some of these at Wal Mart yesterday for about $7.

I'm blessed with a BIG pantry, so no worries there. But my HBA is growing fast and my linen closet is too full. I have to think of something soon! I do have my kleenex stockpile under the crib. I have a bed skirt on the crib so you can't see it.
    WISHES!

Slowly gettin' back into the swing of things!!

we live in about a 550 sq ft apt.

Every inch of space is utilized. There are things in all the closets, under sinks, cabinets, etc. I totally envy the folks here who have a massive garage or extra room for the stockpile, heck even a basement! I love seeing pictures of it all in one place like some sort of little store in the home :)

One of the best things we did was we had an apartment that was a bit of a loop. In other words..you could walk from the living room, through the hall (where you passed the bedrooms and bathroom) and then through the kitchen and then back to the living room. We put our freezer in the entry from the hall to the kitchen..since it was still possible to leave the bedroom, go down the hall, in the living room and out the door. does that make sense? LOL

When you look for an apartment...look for one with a real size kitchen. If you get one that is a galley your going to have an awful time trying to store stuff. Full size kitchen I can about guarantee you, you will have more room.

Oh and on the back side of the freezer we put up a book shelf.

I have an apartment with a full size kitchen thank god. its bigger than the kitchen in the house my parents rent. It has cabinets that go back all the way to the wall where i can put stuff even though i can't see it. It has space above the cabinets about a foot to the ceiling and a huge hall closet and huge bedrooms closets. And tons of space above the washer and dryer. I just wish i could put my stockpile all in one spot so i can look at it all at once. its scattered in every part of the house. I probably just need to make an inventory list.I get anal about lists though. I have a freezer inventory list and a pantry one too. always looking for that "new" creative idea though. I think i've pretty much used up all the creative ideas for storage/organization.

Wow I have been away from these forums way to long. Anyway since I had last posted on this thread we had moved from our 2 bedroom apartment into a 3 bedroom Mobile home. Space is still tight but we have more cabinets here then we had in our apartment. So keeping my stockpile organized is easier. When I get a chance I'll take pictures of everything we have now. Also I am slowly rebuilding our stockpile too because we had some rough times where we had to live off of our stock.
