Another use for all the Pert Shampoo

I've used dawn in my mop bucket for years! I also put a couple of drops in a spray bottle and use it with a squeegee(sp) on my windows. I hate the smell of glass cleaners!

Anyway, after reading this thread I thought I'd give cleaning the bathroom a try with some old shampoo that my MIL sent up for the girls. I have about 10 bottles of it. It is an Avon product, but the girls became teens and wanted their Pantene, and so forth. I couldn't bring myself to throw out the other shampoo because it never really goes bad and we've used it as a back up for when we ran out of the "good" stuff.

Anyway, my bathroom is sparkling and smells great! DD1 thought I was crazy but willing to experiment. She is seriously impressed! So impressed that when I "suggested" she used the conditioner to shave her legs she enthusiastically agreed! Mind you, she's the eternal skeptic so for her to try anything new is GROUND BREAKING!

what kind of Pert Plus shampoo do you use on your dogs? My beagle/jack Russel girl could use a bath

we often use dish soap or shampoo in the laundry if we run out of laundry soap. Also softsoap hand soap makes the best bubble bath ever. the body wash is okay to for bubble bath but the hand soap makes a ton of bubbles for the kids smells pretty good and is usually very cheap.
Here is something that I've heard though, don't wash your hands with powdered laundry soap or dishwasher detergent the chemicals are way to harsh

I do my carpet cleaner with shampoo and oxyclean. I have seperate mixing containes in one I put shampoo and in the other hot water and a few scoops of oxyclean, works like a champ. I tried the pert in my shower today have like 50 bottles from the superk doubles, I'm so happy it worked so well.

Thanks all. I'm gonna try Pert in my shower instead of Softscrub.
Now, anyone have any ideas on how to clean it without me having to do it. I hate cleaning the shower, way to many tiles - top to bottom, no tub.

I have another tip that really does help. I have a shower head with a hose that you can take off the holder. Every time before I get out of the shower I take the showerhead off the hook and spray my walls down. If your anything like me when I wash my hair I always see soap on the walls and the shower dore. Rinsing the walls really does help!

i love pert plus it works great on my hair especially the dandruff kind i tried every kind of dandruff shampoo and could never get rid of my dandruff tried the pert plus and it has not come back since cant stop using this stuff and i never have enough of it

my friend told me the cheap shaving gel especially the old foam kind works great on cleaning windows and get up stains off the sinks and on stainless steel sinks since it doesnt have all the harsh chemicals that some cleaners have and its gentle on the hands so u dont have to worry about wearing gloves to clean with it

I also use the dawn with olay dish soap as shower gel when i run out of regular shower gel i got a twin pack of it months ago when they had a really good deal on it it works great and makes ur skin feel really soft

A little off the subject but still on what to do with stockpile items. Yesterday when I brought home the Softsoap body wash, which I swore I wasn't going to buy, DH thought it was hand soap. Then it dawned on me, why can't you use bodywash for hand soap? Has anybody ever tried this? I have tons of bodywash and the kids go through soap like crazy. I'm sure a lot of you already have a stock pile of hand soap too

The purple SoftSoap body wash is the same as the purple SoftSoap liquid soap. Why spend $2-$3 on another bottle of liquid soap when I can just refill the bottle with free bodywash?
