Yard Sale Tips & Pricing

Wow, I have not been to this thread in a while. I guess my prices are high but my stuff flies around here.

I generally do shampoo - pert, vive, garnier, pantene, etc. $2 bottle
band-aids $1
pads (more than 30 ct) $1
tampons $1.50-$2.50
toothpaste (not aquafresh) $1 - $1.50
toothbrushes 3 for $2 depending on what they are
shaving gel large containers $1
deodorant $1-$2 depending on what kind it is
hair color $2-$4 depending

other misc stuff at least 60% off retail

I never sell food with the exception of a ton of chocolate candy bags I scored at target last year for $.25 each after halloween. I managed to get bags of hershey's with "fall" not halloween themes and sold them for $1 each, regular price on these was $3.59. took out all the mr goodbars and sold the rest!

I'm sorry I don't have time to read through everything (having a yard sale Sat w/ very little prep time). Can someone help give me some ideas for pricing on a few items?

*Glade scented oil plug ins (I have tons - probably 100 - all were free or money makers)

*Glade scented gel plug ins (they were a money maker too)

*Pert Plus Botanicals (free from $3 Q used at Kmart)

*Trial Sizes (all were free - shamp, condit, body wash, clean and clear, etc)

*Pledge (money-maker)

sold all mine for $1.75 last month at my sale

Can someone please tell me how much I should sell my glucose monitors for? What is a good price for these at a yard sale? I am having a yard sale on Saturday and would love to get rid of the almost 20 monitors that I have in my closet! :o) TIA!

I put $3 on mine and only sold 3. I also had around 20 for sell. People just kept saying that they got all their diabetic supplies free! I even called one of the churches that has a pantry and they didn't even return my call. My DH is ready to take them to the dumpster! Good luck with your sale!!

I sell the one touch for $1 and the other "more expensive types" for $2.50
I sell out every time. Last month I sold over 40 at my sale

Oh jeez, what a terrible waste. There's got to be a better solution, yes?

At least donate them to Good Will or Salvation Army. What about senior centers, community-based health clinics? Or list them on the freebies section of craiglist on Freecycle on Yahoo Groups?
