What I always finds works well is to give people a deal if they buy in bulk. You might want to start off with $2 each or 3 for $5 or something like that. This way, people will be more likely to take 3 off your hands. See how the morning goes and adjust downward if necessary. The key is not to blink first! :)

They definitely sell at $2/each. The first round I had them at $1.50...wow...flew out the door with my first lady!! She is now my best customer and I sell them for $2/each! Great for us, right?!?!

What is a good price for the Titanium razors & refills we've been getting @ CVS? I still paid $3.49 for the pair. I was going to sell the pair for $10. I don't think that's bad for $20 worth of razor & refills.
What do you think?

I'd probably shoot for $4 each. You might be able to get higher though. Good luck!

Re: Yard Sale Tips & Pricing

2nd of three day yardsale today.

Softsoap 12 oz $1.25 sold a lot
Sunsilk $1.25 (full size) flied off table and not many of 100 I got left
Sunsik Trial Size $1.00 not selling well

Last year only sold about 5 soft soap same price. Seems hit and miss, as always for yardsale.

Gillete M3P Razor and Catridage left from last year Walgreen deal $4.00 each still are selling strong.

I only made about $70, but I didn't know I was doing a yard sale until late yeterday afternoon and I only stayed out there for about 4 hours.
I think this yardsale stuff is changing DH mind about my couponing & stockpiling.

At my last one, Sunsilk was $1.00 and I had to go get more before the 2nd day. Wish that deal had lasted longer.

Default Having a yard sale need advice.....

I've decided to have a yardsale. Afterall there's only so much shampoo and toothpaste one can have. I would like some advice on pricing. Here's what I have and the prices I was thinking of doing.....

toothpaste (reg. size) $1.00 each
Deoderant - 1.00 each
shampoos/conditioners (vive, sunsilk) 1.50 each
sunsilk travel sizes (these are not in the plastic zipper packaging anymore) .25 each.
Curel 6 oz lotion-2.00
Curel purse size (2.59 at Rite Aid) 1.00 each
travel size Crest toothpaste-.50 each
Coppertone Continuous spray - 2.00 each
Skintimate travel size-.50 each
Rolaids softchew 6 count- .50 each

I'm not sure if I've priced the shampoo too low or too high. Should I price the travel size Sunsilk at .50 each or leave it at .25 each. Please let me know your opinion, especially if you've had a yard sale lately and sold any of this stuff. Thanks in advance.

Why is the price of the coppertone that cheap. Isn't around 10.00. I would charge more. 4.00

the crest toothpaste trial size is .50 at walmart. I mark trial size 3/1.00 sell well at that price and you could mark the sunsilk that too.

I was going to try 1/00 for the softchews. since they were 1.50 or maybe .75 or are the ones you selling org .99

the other prices seem right on target.

hope you do good

Most of the Rolaids are the .99 ones. I think the 3 for a dollar is a great idea. Probably would sell them a lot faster too.
