Yes! Someone who sees past this being just about "rice and grain."

It isn't just the ethanol research. Grain is used to feed cattle. If there's a shortage in grain, guess what's next? Why do you think milk prices have skyrocketed lately? The same with eggs. It's because there's a grain shortage. Other nations have ceased exporting their grain. The US didn't, at least not yet.

Thriving nations with booming economies, like China and India, have started to behave as Americans. They are eating more meats and grains. They have a hand in this mess, too. It isn't just Americans.

I've mentioned the diesel fuel crisis. I'm terrified to think of them striking.

Call me crazy but I'm preparing myself and my family for some lean times.

Is there another truckers strike planned? I know the independent truckers parked or slowed their trucks on April1, but I didn't know of any other planned strike. My husband works for a trucking company so we try to keep on top of trucking news.

I think she means that there probably be one with the price of diesel right now. It has to be killing the little mans/independents profit.
