Default Re: 'Fess Up poll: Do you sell your stockpile on Ebay?

I will occasionally check items to see what they are going for (razor blades, ScentStory cartridges etc.) but I have never made a killing on it.

A friend of mine sold those Saran Quick Covers last year and got an unGoddly amount of money for them! And the lady paid $20 extra to have them overnighted! She sold 20 or so and got 4 or 5 X retail! It must have been a catering company that needed them for an event. No sane person would have paid that price for shower caps!

YARD SALE ~ after the kids went back to school I was loving the freedom to CVS shop ALONE! I maybe went a little crazy when the $5/$20 weekly coupons were out ~ but I got alot of stuff we needed free too! Anyway, our neighborhood has a yard sale every 3 or 4 months. The week before I started pulling stockpile (toothpaste, pads, tampons, liners, shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, make-up, Lysol wipes, headache stuff, deoderant so on and so forth). I made over $560 in 3 hours:beavisnbutthead:

I'm too busy trying to keep myself, my family, and my stockpile organized to sell stuff on Ebay.

Anywoo, anything (except the horrifying amount of feminine products) I stockpile, I'm planning to use myself!

I got a bunch of glucose monitors to donate, and my recipient wouldn't take them all! So I sold about 5 of them on ebay, but wasn't out to make a killing, just get 'em out of my house.

I have sold a few items (like I think 3 or 4 auctions total) in a last year or two. Just to see if I could. LOL

I answered no, but it's more of a no, not YET. I for sure would IF I had enough to sell & it was profitable. Why not?? I just started this in October so maybe in a few more months I will have enough or find stuff worth selling I guess.

I am a powerseller on Ebay & it pays our groceries monthly. But since I've started couponing, I cut wayyyyyy back on the Ebay biz. I did just find an Evenflo Breastpump at Target on clearance for $27 & it had a $10 MIR (that I got today!) So I paid $17 for it & I think it was close to $60 that I sold it for.

Ebay IS work & not as easy as some thing. And the stupid fees just went up once again so makes it harder to make a profit too. I've been doing it for probably 8 years now & since the 1st of this year, have FINALLY started to get sick of it. I may have to go out & get a PT gig to make up for the loss income if I don't continue with it.

I sold 2 sets of mach3 power razors for 17.50 and $30!! Plus shipping... I was only selling these for $4 at garage sales, so I made more money this way... I'm going to be listing my makeup that I bought for overage, or fillers. I see no problem with selling on ebay. That's what businesspeople do... Buy low, and sell high!!!

Not on ebay, but I have lots of yard sales. Can't wait to have my first one this spring as my garage and basement are overflowing!

I am still new enough to this that I just like to sit and look at my brand new stock pile. I am not ready to let it go yet. I am thinking big Christmas baskets for everyone this year with soap and shampoo and razors and cheerios......LOL
