I always TELL myself I'll start selling on eBay, but (blush) I get so distracted BUYING that it never happens, lol :) Most of the time I just look for ppl or organizations that can use the things I have stockpiled and start donating ... especially when I start running out of room (yet again). Although I DO have a storage 'house' on some property I'm buying ... and an old trailer house on the same property that I won't tear down because it still keeps everything I'm storing it IT 'in the dry' ... and a small storage building that my hubby built for me ... *sigh* ... maybe it really IS time for eBay and I to become better acquainted on the 'seller' side ... ;) Just for the record, though, only a small part of my stockpile items are from straight couponing, most are from clearance sales (well, a LOT of coupons HAVE gone into circulation from THAT part, lol) or local 'warehouse discount' places. I just wish Wall's would take coupons ... then I'd be in heaven, lol :p

No, not on Ebay. I have been selling stuff at the flea market, though. My stockpile stuff goes faster than my "junk" Most of it, though, goes to family.

I haven't had time to do ebay, since doing this. I spend all my ebay time, surfing these threads. BUT, starting Oct 1...I'm getting back on ebay, the clothes the girls can't wear are piling up & I have toys that the 5 yr old has outgrown...as soon as I make sure I have all the pieces, I'm taking pix & posting them. I have sold items on ebay that I had left over from Bath & Body Works after all the teacher gifts were given last Christmas. That was before I knew what I was doing had a name...stockpiling. :shrug7: I thought it was just smart to get as many freebies from B&BW as possible...then when you need one, instant gift.

Until reading this thread, I'd never thought of selling stockpile on ebay. I'm thinking the shipping charges would eat up any profit, though. Back in the summer, I took loads of my stuff to the flea market. In 7 or 8 Saturdays, I sold about $450 worth of stuff. You can't even tell anything is missing in my stockpile!

What kind of stuff did you sell--anything medical or food or just all the other HaBA/cleaning stuff?

ITA about the eBay shipping thing, & is why I haven't bothered.

I haven't sold on ebay, but did sell some diapers on craiglist and just last month tried selling some items at a yardsale. I didn't have much, just 1 2x2 table of health and beauty items and air freshners, I made 180$ for the weekend and i'd say about 50% to 60% of it was from that one little table. I do have a few bigger items that i am debating on selling on ebay, some toys and breastfeeding supplies that i got really cheap with couponing/sales, that would give me a pretty good return, but i will probably try craiglist first since i don't have to worry about shipping.

I might sell a brand new item like a piece of clothing that I just don't want now and then, but the shipping isn't worth it and my items always sell for less, I can never figure out how to sell stuff at a profit. I need lessons from a pro.

The items I buy with the coupons I have are more valuable to me than selling it since prices are high and none of the stores here double coupons, so whatever I have I pretty much use up (and quickly, with 5 of us in the household!) If I have a little extra items I try to help my mother, father, and brother's family by giving them some. If I still have extra and it's close to the expiration date and I know I won't be able to use it I donate it or give to friends I know can use it. I have yet to build a stockpile and I've been reading about some pretty impressive stockpiles here at HCW!

Oh, I wish I had time to sell on ebay or anywhere. I sure need to sell or trade off my stuff...I'm running out of storage space!!

Have never had a place that allowed garage sales. Will come back to this thread for any other ideas.
