Anyone stockpile gifts and/or holiday items?

With all the deals on beauty products, I am going to be making beauty baskets for all the DD, DIL and female teens for Christmas this year

My mom stockpiled gifts when I was a kid (she still does), and I do it too. I buy a lot of beauty stuff from Yves Rocker when they have big sales once or twice a year, and I stockpile their GWP's and their extras or stuff that is on super clearance. I also buy wrapping paper after the holidays t the .99 store So I get 5 or 6 rolls for .99. I try to get the most generic paper so it will work throughout the year.

I'm also a big fan of the $5 clothing stores and I stock up on good basics in sizes (sweatshirts one year in all sizes for the family for $2.50 each on sale!). I'm a label reader, so I buy a lot of stuff at $5 clothing stores that originally came from Macy's, Lane Bryant, and Torrid and give them as gifts.

I buy the kids christmas and birthday gifts throughout the year whenever I see a good sale.

I have always bought during the end of season clearance sales and put the stuff up for bdays and christmas presents.
Didn't realize this was stockpiling, until I got here. lol

So I buy summer toys in aug/sept, and nerf stuff, hot wheels stuff in dec/jan and a few baby/toddler/remote control toys on black fridays

buy solid color wrapping paper after christmas to use all yr ( pink, red, blue, white, green ) buy bags of sparkly bows, buy decorative ribbon

summer clothes in aug/sept winter clothes feb/mar ( love jcp and belk ) - I often get 1.49 shirts and sweaters...these sales are huge

love the yves roche sales for the gwp items ( have gotten some nice robes, over night bags/travel bags and throws)

mail order catalogs for the gwp items ( think 3.99 shirts and got the 3 piece sets of duffle/travel bags for free)

label read at the thrift stores and get name brands for the nephews for christmas presents ( lately I have been doing better at the dept stores than the thriftstores )

have a gift closet from my wags, cvs, ra, far or really cheap after rebate stuff ( like the $10/20 digital cameras I have 4)

have appliances put up for weddings, fathers day, christmas presents, like coffee pots,rice cookers, blenders, mixers ( wags, I buy these with the friday coupons and get the ones for a rebate like the wags 29.98 thermal cooler 4.98 ,,,29.99 ra coffee pot 4.98)

purses from aug/sept sales and jcpenney 10/10 q's (I have gotten some nice purses for 4.99)

ebates for new accts promo....I have the itunes gc for a stocking stuffer. I try to do all my online shopping through the links for ebates or bigcrumbs so I get a percentage back!

choose gift cards as the promo bonus when opening up new accts ( cash/checks are great, but I spend that before the holiday )

google check out....all kinds of frees, like the jump drives, movies, screwdriver sets,

clothes basket to make a stockpile housewarming gift

stockpile the giftcards from nov/dec rebates ( starbucks, chickfila, subway, sonic )

Since Halloween is almost here and over, buy Halloween bagged candy that isn't marked as Halloween to put in Christmas stockings or gift bags for co-workers at Christmas. I may sit this one out but did a great job last year!

I do this. After xmas I hit all the clearance sales and buy bags, wrap, boxes, tags, and cards. I also buy little xmas doo-dads that will make nice little gifts for people, expecially the people that give you a gift that you weren't expecting. Yankee Candle had a great clearance sale a couple weeks ago. $10 of $25. They had xmas candle holders for $3!!! I got ten different things for $20!! :)
