Mine was when Toys r us had the trial size huggies pull-ups on clearance (can't remember if it was .99 or .50), & there was a 2/1 any coupon in the package. Got major overage, stocked up on baby food & stuff.

I remember vividly my first 3 deals, the rest are a blur...

Very first deal was on Betty Crocker brownie mix...on my first dumpster diving trip out paper had .50/1 BC brownie coupons and it went 10 for $10 so I got like 20 boxes of brownie mix and thought that was GREAT. DH didnt get it because he was like "you can't feed us on brownie mix" although the kids probably would not have cared. LOL. My next deal was 1 lb blocks of Kraft cheese for .50. (havent gotten block cheese that cheap since either). On that deal DH was thinking this was pretty cool when I told him that I normaly would have paid $3.00 to $4.00 for a Lb of cheese. Then came my first freebie.. electrasol! With $2.00 blinkie coupons and $1.89 price at Walmart. I had electrasol for years, gave lots of it away to my in-laws and friends.

I also remember my first deal on Cereal and getting it for like $1 a box and thinking how great that was. Now I aim for free only...but when you were spending $4 for a box of cereal a $1 is a great price!

I'm a brand new couponer, so I'm actually still in the middle of my first stockpile. I'm doing the Target Gerber deal. So far I have over 50 2-packs of stage 1 foods, 50 2-packs of stage 2 foods, and 150 jars of stage 2 foods. All were free!! I'm going back for stage 3 foods later this week, which will also be free with my coupons. My goal is to never pay for baby food for my dd. I also have 8 cans of DHA cereal, which I paid $0.50 each. They're normally $3 each.

My sis stocked up on baby food, too, then her daughter decided she HATED baby food. She end up with 200 jars of baby food to donate to the food pantry! (Not saying this will happen to you, but you reminded me of the story!)

What started my stockpile was Johnson's Buddie soaps. I have near 100 of them and they were all free plus an overage. I have added tons of razors, shampoo, cereal, deoderant, and things I don't even remember to it.

I think my first stockpile item was papertowels. I used the overage from the Boost deal at WAG to buy the 3 packs of papertowels, so I paid maybe .49 for each pack. The stockpile took on a life of its own after that!! I donated the free Boost and kept the papertowels. Then came the P&G deal at WAG, then the Duracell/P&G deal at KMart........ OMG, I need a warehouse!

My stockpile item is shampoo also. I have so many different ones but the last best stockpile item has to be hamburger helpers, suddenly salad and the mustard from target. I got my daughter hook on coupons also.

I remember stockpiling Pasta Roni and Rice a Roni in New Orleans when I was single (8+yrs ago). I got so sick of eating that stuff every night that I was pawning it off on my neighbors in my apartment building.... I love this thread-- I remember the Grab-It kits and the first load of electrasol gel pacs (which I ended up giving away because my machine stopped liking them LOL),.... fond memories

Brought home 50 packages of pasta about 4 years ago. Husband says what are we going to do with all THAT. I replyed, we eat spaghetti once a week, we'll eat it. Now please figure out a place to store it. He says OK but we are going to need alot of sauce! Within 2 weeks, he was laughing about the 50 jars of Ragu I brought home.
