I put things in the closets and also bought storage containers for under the beds.
I have looked through the Stockpile pics and most are rooms or garages. What about people who live in an apartment or live with family? Where do you stockpile? Can you share pics? We live with family right now so space is limited but we'll move into a 2bdrm apartment and of course unless i shove it all in a closet, i have no idea where to put anything!
I am NOT logging into HCW for personal reasons-- Please email me jpoy85@yahoo.com
DO NOT send PMs, i wont get them!!
One of my favorite ideas that I read was if you have cabinets that don't go all the way up to the ceilings, you an put stuff up there and cut out cardboard to fit over it and put wallpaper on the cardboard so it just looks like an extension of the wall, and it's easy to get to your stuff - just slide out the cardboard!
Yes, I have a significant amount in my basement. Probably about 80% of my stockpile. But in my hall closet, on the floor, I have a huge bin of batteries and another of toothbrushes and another of razors. Those are things I don't want in my damp basement.
I have as much of my diaper stockpile as will fit, in the boys' closet. I have all of the baby/toddler bath items like baby wash, lotion and Buddies bars, in the vanity in their bathroom. We have huge bathroom vanities though. Mine is packed with all kinds of hba stuff.
My kitchen panty is about as full as it can be without the shelves collapsing (did I just jinx myself?) and I let us use it down, then I do an overhaul and rotate everything out of the basement according to exp dates. I do this about every 3 months.
I know some people buy bins that slide under beds.
I remember reading a while ago where someone used the space in the closet behind their hanging clothes to stockpile items such as toilet paper, paper towels, etc. It's not a lot of room, but enough space where you could probably stack a single row of pads, tampons, in addition to the above, and stuff like that.
Someone else once posted that she used a hallway closet and had shelves added to it to store misc. stockpile items. If you can get ahold of some of those plastic milk crates, they are really rugged and you can stack them in a closet. I have them on the bottom of my pantry filled w/ misc. stuff.
My shower downstairs has a small window ledge in it, and I use that to put extra shampoo, conditioner & body wash.

Yup under my bed and my kids bed is storage I have no garage or basement we all have our own room and the rest is living space so really no specifis stoarage room. I was really liuck the previous owner already had a nice set up in the kitchen strong shelving. I would defenity love to do something different under my sink it is a corner sink and everything is heaped on the floor no shelves under there. and it being a corner its really weird. I do pile all my dishwasher soap under there neatly in the corner.
I have really high celings so in my closets I have tp stacke super high. during the summer I had tampons and pad stacked super hight in the guest coat closetDs and Dh apparently thought they belonged in the bathroom
So i took care of them. I have a 30 gallon storage tote that as I shop I add my things to the tote and put the lid on it. Then when I rotate my stock I can just grab my stuff from the stoage tote and put it in the back of my olds stock. Dh had build me 2 nice sturdy shelfs above the washer and dryer for all my laundry soap. I tuck all my zip locks and alum foil up there too. I really need more Ideas my self but my all time convo piece is my cereal stock pile that is on the upper cupboards in the kitchen
There had to be 80+ boxes up there. When we have guest and they notice all our cereal they are like OMG!! Some times I wish I could hide it, I guess I hope they don't think I am a hoarder or something. I really need to work on my coupon clutter. It is always a real mess. I have no desk just "my counter" 2'x3' that everything from coupons to bills to kids school projects and anything in between ends up there

I have started by going through every room and getting rid of anything and everthing that we no longer need or use. Then I took it all to a consignment store to sell. Then i can use that money fo xmas presents or if I'm short on cash I can go and pick up some or all of the money thay have made so far. (Hint: if u or achild of urs gets a part time job there u can make more money). By doing this I have freed up alot of extra space that I didn't realize I had.
I HEAR YOU on this one! We are a family of 5 in a 3 bedroom apt, but hubby's office is one room so really a 2 bedroom apt for me to 'hide' my stockpile. Sadly, living in an apt this small does limit me on stockpiling. I do have the under bed totes for smaller items, tons of toothbrushes and toothpaste under there! LOL I have a tiny hall closet that is packed with stuff as well. As far as bigger items like toilet paper and paper towels, I honestly do not have the space to stockpile. IF I find a great price I only buy a few. I really hate that, but I can't have TP and PP just sitting all over the place! Good Luck!

I really like the idea to put things on top of the cupboards!!
I am going to try that!!! Thanks
