I do stockpile from my reg budget..for I use coupons on those things to get it lower so I can stock up on other things, if not I would have to budget some more money in for stockpile things which would affect my other things that I bidget and pay each week..I do most of my shopping at walmart and I have a $150 a week bidget for a family of 6 (twins in diapers).. I make my list and my coupons for those things any money left over is for extra items and if I dont use all the money we save it for our next disney vac and most time I dont use it all but I dont want to lower the walmart bidget for it works and I get to save money for vac...sorry if you dont like walmart but I have two teen boys and 2 -2year olds and it just to hard to run all over town when walmart will price match and I can save gas.

I read the info about laundry soap, but I'm still not sure about prices on other things. If you don't mind listing some of the things in your stockpile and how much you pay for them it would be a huge help. Obviously I know that if I can get something free I need to jump on it, but outside of that I am pretty lost. Some specifics I'm curious about:
cereal, peanut butter, paper towels, juicy juice, mac & cheese, pasta sauce, etc. TIA!
    cereal: under $.50/box
    peanut butter: free
paper towels: under $.33/roll (usually get them at cvs with ecb)
mac & cheese: usually buy at Wags when they have a 7-day q and use them as fillers. So, don't really have a "stock-up" price on those.
pasta sauce: under $.50, although right now I've got so much that it would have to be free for me to buy it.
    dish liquid: free or $.25
    toilet bowl cleaner: $.50-$.75
    Kleenex: ~$.40/box
toilet paper: free (from Kroger, also a lot of free Marcal and single rolls as fillers at Wags)
    spices and seasonings: free
    frozen veggies: $.30-.40/bag
    most condiments: free

I try to never pay for HBA items or most OTC meds, and I've been able to get almost all of our cleaning supplies for free as well.

I think you'll find that the longer you coupon, the lower your target prices will go. I know that has certainly happened with me. When I first started, I considered anything under $1 to be a good price for cereal. I would never consider paying that now. I feel like I'm constantly revising my target/stock-up prices for things.

Single rolls for filler: GREAT IDEA! I never would have thought of that. I'm such a rock at times, lol!

Glad to help :) I usually wait until they have a 7-day q for them. There's a 2/$1 one that rolls around fairly regularly.

I find for me anything that is below 50% is a decent price. I live in the land of no doubles, no CVS and am in the country.

I started stockpiling years ago with just buying cases of tomatoes, beans etc...Then we had a baby and I stopped working to SAH and things changed. WE HAVE to stock pile now where before we just liked to.

I find I go through cycles and currently I am more living off of the stockpile then putting into it. Which is fine, the last few weeks were kinda lean.

Depending on what it is I'll stock up and then go though my stockpile, then stock up again. I am currently waiting for p.b. to go on sale(which is due in Aug-back to school). So I'll get jelly and pb for the winter months.

My goal with my demographic area is 50% that's what I strive for and usually meet.

I never get free TP, my Dh only likes one kind, so we just don't get that for free. I do get very cheap dressing, toothpaste, diapers, and a bunch of other stuff.
Happy momma to a crazy little man(9/09)loving my bundle of energy(9/06)and our proud papa(my love since 94).

I'm gonna agree rt now ... food at least 50% off sale price is a stockpile price for me. HBA stuff at least 80% (depending if its necessity) stock up.

It's getting harder to get the GREAT deals!
