Re: I need some advice I used to try to hide it, badger him about it and even not buy it all together. But, the big difference was when I sat him down and told him that this was something I was seriously doing, and I am building up this stockpile, not so he can have a daily snack, but to make sure that if anything ever happens, we have food, drinks and even goodies to fall back on. I also designate a "dessert of the week" and make it on mondays. If its gone before the week is out, then its gone.
My DH got all huffy when I asked him to not eat up everything I just bought, too. When I actually sat him down and explained that this was in my job description as a wife and mother, then he got it. He wouldn't want me to spend up his whole weekly paycheck in one day on something frivilous like a pair of shoes i'll never wear, so don't do the same with my stockpile!
