Just curious if these things sell well at stockpile sales? I know that cereal and pop-tarts and snacks and candy/gum and sodas sell like hotcakes, but what about other food items? TIA

Soda. I can never keep soda in the house. Last summer CVS had soda 12pks on sale that ended up being about $2 per 12 pack- and DH won't drink off brand diet soda. Bought about 6 per week, I have ONE left, hiding under the hutch, which I parcel out one at a time to him when he's out of 2L bottles.

REALLY need to work on getting that man to drink water...

Very practical.

My item was the Halloween Kleenex from 2005; $.09 on 90% clearance from Target. I cleaned off a whole end cap and many boxes were free.

I took 15 boxes to sell at a garage sale. Two months later, my son had 2 colds. We went through 5 boxes of Kleenex in a month. I have about 20 boxes left; we are converting over to handkerchiefs so no big deal.

I have definitely had this happen too.

Ketchup
Grape jelly (who knew my son would put it on his hot dogs)
mustard
ranch dressing

But then I have another problem. One example...my hubby loves this certain kind of cracker (chicken n biscuit). Okay so on one sale, I buy a few at $1.00 a piece. He eats them all fast. So, in a few weeks another sale comes and I buy like 40 boxes at .66 each. He eats a few boxes then he's done....eats no more for six months....eats like 10 boxes.....

It seems like when I stack up on something they like...they don't want it...or eat a lot of it and get sick of it for a while. I don't want anything to go bad (which I have had happen ). It's like if it is in the house, they don't want it.

Does this happen to you all?

FYI: Cracker overload. Even in original wrapping, they will go stale. Single layer them on a cookie sheet, bake at about 250 for about 10 minutes, let them cool completely and put in a ziploc bag. You'll never throw out another cracker.

Great tip, thanks! I just opened a box of crackers yesterday that were stale, good thing I haven't gotten around to throwing it out yet!

I have the "Now that I have it, I don't want it" syndrome going on too. It's just me and DH and when we didn't have a stockpile, he was always roaming the cupboards and asking what there was to eat. Now that it's INSANELY obvious that we have many options for the "what's to eat" question, I get "I'm not hungry" and feel like I have to force-feed him food LOL. We are covered in spades when it comes to snack/treat options like Fruit Roll Ups and Pop Tarts, and I'll be darned if suddenly he's not interested in any of those. He's moved on to a particular kind of ice cream, which I'm stocking up on next week...any guesses how fast he'll be sick of THAT?

I can't say much...I'm loaded up on Lucky Charms like there's no tomorrow and I'm not eating them like I used to!

To keep it OT, I stockpiled on condensed milk and cream soups...at the time it seemed like an overload on both but I'm already searching for more sales...we ripped through them!

It will sound disgusting in one sentence, but our biggies are peanut butter, pancake mix, syrup and ketchup! We can never keep enough because when it is here it just used like crazy, when it's not it isn't used half as much. We were low on soda, but my Walgreens had the 12 packs of Coke for $1.35 a pack after in ad Q and I used Coke rewards on some. We have 22 full 12 packs on the buffet right now! Since it will soon be summer our soda drink levels out to almost nothing and the regular has an exp of December. Hoping that the husband (and I) don't just drink it because it is around...
