WOW, thank you all for the great responses. Might take pics of the rest of my stockpile this weekend. I donate to hospice, help a local family, and take about 15-20 bags a month to my MIL. My FIL had a stroke and she can't leave him by himself, so I take her needed supplies to help out. I barter with the neighbors, whether its fresh garden items, propane, detailed car cleaning or fixing something we can't. Please don't think I clear the shelves, because I don't (lots of stores, repeat sales, back to back sales, same sales different stores, etc.). I have been working on this stockpile for almost 2 yrs (when I was a lurker here before becoming a member here at HCW). There are items that are hard for me to keep stockpiled, as with anyone I am sure. I try to stay stocked for a year on somethings, 6 mos. on others. I could not have done it without everyone here at HCW, I love this place!! ♥♥♥ |
