    Jengirl483's Stockpile Pics

    Okay, I was cleaning and organizing my HBA stockpile today and decided to take pictures as i organized and i think i am brave enough to go ahead and post the pics... (also, i want to watch it grow...in pics, I don't think anyone I know would understand except everyone here )
    I made my first of the year donations and this past fall I sold most of my stockpile, so this is only a fraction of what i once had...I've been doing this since last February and i need to start focusing on the food stockpiling now and less of the HBA...(but HBA is so much fun compared to grocery shopping :frown:)
    We rent a 900 sq ft house and you would think with just the 2 of us we would have plenty of room, but I am quickly realizing that we have way too much junk...so, i currently have my stockpile in the hall closet and the extra bathroom (the light switch has never worked in there, so we never use it, so i put a board across the sink and use it for my pop and water stoarge)
    Here are a few highlight pics, the rest are here.
    Main closet:

    Twiggy, bringing me her toy...she likes to be the center of attention

    "bathroom" storage:

    Where all my pop, TP and paper towels, along with some pet food and about 25% of my bottled water is stored (the other 75% of the water is under my kitchen table...)

    And of course all my makeup:

    I acquired most of this make-up in the last month and to think back in January I was worried because i had no make up (except eye shadow) stockpiled...now with all the deals in February, i am over-flowing...

    We are house hunting and i am very excited about finding something with a basement so i can build storage that isn't cramped into little spaces and all spread out...
    I love looking at everyones stockpile photos, I hope you enjoyed mine!

    Wow Jen - great pics!
    lol....looks like you are bombarded by make-up items like me! LOL
    :Poke: {Cute Twiggy too....lol!}

    I enjoyed your pics and thanks for a neato idea!
    I don't have any of my containers labeled....but, after seeing yours labeled, I have decided to do that.
    Man! That would simplify things for me.
    When the kids ask "Hey mom, where are the pens?" or "Where's the deodorant?"...
    I can simply say - "Check the container labels, it will tell you." - instead of having to go find the items for them.

    I will be scoping out the price of sticker labels at CVS now....to start working them into CVS scenario's - so I don't have to pay alot for them.
    {Hope CVS sells them! LOL}

    Where did you get your labels?

    Thanks again!

    My labels are just generic name tags from target (i got them with overage once...bought a couple of them...I think i saw them at CVS and i think i will be getting more next time i am there)...it is so much easier to find something labeled when everything is stuck in tight spots...

    I see I have my own thread now...I figured I would update my pictures.
    DH and I are in the process of closing on a house and I am very excited about spreading my stockpile out in the HUGE basement. Right now we are staying in my parents apartment above the garage (our lease ran out...) so my stockpile is cramped in an even smaller place than it was before...I had to sell/donate almost all my stuff this fall. I have being trying to keep my shopping trips to a minimum, but it is hard to not go out and get my deals.

    I got up early on BF and bought 2 black & decker cabinets from Lowe's...I think I paid about $70 for 2 (and I bought a $100 GC, put the cabinets on the gift card and then sent away for the $20 free GC...it was a great deal). I just noticed that the top shelf is sagging, I will have to rearrange some stuff.

    I need to start getting more TP, didn't realize I only had 1 big pack left.

    Man, it looks like a mess...but it is only temporary...everything is stacked up and hard to get to...back there are all my batteries, cleaning supplies, meds, and some other stuff--I can't keep track anymore. In the front right are the crates filled with all my glade.

    Just realized those are the only good pictures I have right now...rivitating, I know...but hopefully soon I will have a new and improved stockpile storage area to take pictures of...

    Very impressive, I would've losved to see it before your sale. It must've been overwhelming. I totally feel your pain in storage. it's just the 2 of us in a 1500 sg. foot house w/1500 sq. foot finished basement. You'd think we'd have enough room. No way! It's never enough room when you're stockpiling! Your pics are definitely inspirational. Thank you for sharing.
