OMG. Awesome. I have a question though, aren't all of you that stockpile afraid of expiration dates? I have a little pile going but as for the food, i always look for the ones that have the furthest out dates, but that still seemed to be very soon.

I'm lucky -- about a month ago, DH "got it" with how much we were saving by stockpiling things with long shelf lives, and he said just that! We have our own store and it needs more shelf space. So he cleaned out a bit of stuff he had rat-holed in the basement and put in some gorilla racks.

So, it's freshly shelved and organized

I think that's part of how stockpiling changes things. I do "shop" out of my own warehouse for meals every day, and mostly shop at the stores to restock my shelves. It's definitely given me more options, both in what I choose to buy (and spend), and in what I choose to prepare for meals etc.

I'm a bit stunned, it's very different to lay it all out on shelves and see WHAT there is, instead of guessing what's buried in the back of the shelves!

flash, this is awesome. Thanks for the inspiration!

You are as obsessively neat as my brother. His wife does the shopping, but he has to put everything away, because the labels all have to point the same direction.
I am not as bad as him, but I believe being neat and organized helps you become efficient. At a glance you can see what you have.

You have more groceries than some grocery stores I've been in!!! Congrats!
It looks like you could live on that stockpile alone without any shopping for about 6 months!!!!! wow!!

Flash, that is EXACTLY what I want mine to look like! Love those channel shelves.

My stockpile is pretty tidy, but it's on plastic shelves in the garage, which are not my ideal storage solution!
