COOK BOOK Great use for all those bags of Ore Ida Steam N Mash potatoes!

OK, so here I was trying to think of a warm yummy comfort food to make with my stockpile. It has been very overcast and cool starting to feel like fall as much as it can in Florida.
At any rate I thought I'll make a big pot of chowder.

Here's what I used feel free to alter to your taste or what you have in stock.

1 Bag of Garlic Ore Ida Steam n Mash potatoes
1 can Cream of Chicken soup
2 cups milk
1/3 cup Dried minced onion (you could use fresh if you have it and not the other)
1 can Veg All drained
1 can black beans drained and rinsed
4 slices of bacon cut into pieces ( no need to pre cook this) and you can use ham lunchmeat if you have that or whatever meat like that you have.
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. red pepper ( you could use any type of spicy spice if you like it with a little kick. If you do I would up it just a bit as the 1/4 didn't make it spicy at all.
2 tbsp. butter

I put it in the crock pot on low and in 4 hours it was soooooo yummy.
I whipped up some cornbread and we had a big feast and topped it off with a cup of hot cocoa.

Like I said you can add or change anything, but this is the basics. You can use any leftover meat you might have. You can use cream corn instead of veg all. You can use 1/2 instead of cream of chicken or any of the cream soups would work.
Hope you enjoy this recipe as much as my family did.
