Staters Bros. - Cashier said what?

Okay I had a couple coupons to use tonight since we needed the essentials...eggs, milk, meat. DH doesn't get paid for two weeks and I am getting my hours cut back at work.
I went in and used my free Q's for eggs and BBQ sauce. And just some other dollar off's.
On the California Milk's website there are coupons for $.50 of any milk with the "seal". I printed those.
Cashier rings me up...scans all my Q's EXCEPT those ones for the milk. She doesn't even scan them, sets them to the side. Then she starts examining them thoroughly....still not scanning it, she asks "are these copies?" (mind you almost all the other Q's were printed as well in black and white)....I said "No...I printed them off the California Dairy website."
She put the coupon through...but it kinda grinded my gears a bit and then she threw the reciept at me.

Sometimes....I feel like certain cashiers are simply coupon haters.

I rarely shop at Stater Bros. anymore due to their "issues" with scrutinizing every coupon, specifically IPs, that I present to them. They are not worth it in my book, even after talking to the store manager about this problem. Instead, I try to spread my valuable shopping $$$ to the stores that tend to value my loyalty and that make the effort to treat me and my coupons right.

I think that no matter how hard we try, that there will always be cashiers that simply can't stand coupon users for whatever reason, and so we just need to make that much more of an effort to stay away from them and not give up on our coupon usage in the process.

I was told i was using too many coupons. Now that a first in 20 some odd years of shopping there. I think they or Corp like the real dollars over coupons, if a store won't take my coupons i dont shop there.

Did I read that correctly? The cashier "threw" your receipt at you? Not OK.
You have every right to be offended. Unprofessional/unacceptable behavior that needs to be stopped. Some people do that because they think they can get away with it. I'll bet you were shocked, & next time won't let her get away with that. There are plenty of excellent checkers who are looking for a job.

Yea she threw that bad boy right at me. I was in shock but thought 'no...calm down. Everyone has a bad day...just go home and make the hubby some dinner'.

I will avoid her next time for sure. OHH I so wish DH was with me, he would have most definitely not allowed that behavior!


And...yes there are lots of people looking for jobs out there!!

It irritates me how many cashiers have such a "the customer is alway wrong and is a thief" attitude towards couponers. Most of us are just trying to get by. They should be more understanding in an economy like ours right now when so many people are struggling. My mom has been out of work for a year now and she's struggling just to keep her house and to keep her and my brother fed. My dad went in for surgury last september for colon cancer and finally was let off disability in March to find that he his work laid him off and he still hasn't been able to find work. I do what I can to help my family since we don't have a lot of money the least I can do is buy food and HEB items for them. It irritates me when people judge me without know me or why I'm buying so many items.
