Rewards-I'm not printing mine anymore!

I don't know if you're like me but I always run out of ink and then I want to print my rewards to buy ink but I can't print them. So sometimes I order it online and have it shipped to the store, but today I wanted it today. So I asked if there was anything they could do so I could use them even if I couldn't print them. The cashier told me if I had the # they could just enter it for me. So why am I wasting my ink and paper printing them then??

I just read on their FAQ that you can print your rewards on their "Special Order" computer too in the store. Not sure if that is true.

This may be old news for you guys but I thought it was a great revelation for me! lol

This is at Staples, right? I have some empties that I need to take in and am new to the Staples Rewards program. I also ran my printer bone dry last night and can't even trick it into printing anything else. If I take my empties in this week, can I get my rewards off my purchase then or do I have to wait a certain period of time?

yeah at staples. You can't get the rewards immediately when you turn in your cartridges. It's the next month they become available and they only issue those ink rewards once a month. So if you brought in the empties today, you'd get the reward in September at some time, probably the end. They do sometimes have decent coupons for ink purchases though. Not sure what's out there right now.

Once I lost my printed reward in the parking lot on a rainy day. I asked if there was a way I could print it so no one could use it before me if it was found in the lot. They told me no. I am going to look for the "special order" computer info in faqs, print it and keep it in my binder just in case. As I am in Staples all the time, it may come in handy one day.

I work at Staples and yes, you can log into your Rewards account on the "Kiosk" or special order computer. You can print your rewards there.

We CAN enter the coupon # without the coupon, BUT YMMV depending on the store as many stores have fraudulent coupon issues and fraudulent rewards accounts (my store included) so before bringing in just the coupon number, make sure to have all the info to log in at the kiosk or a display laptop, and NEVER use a rewards # that doesn't match the # on your rewards check. That's fraudulent.

Fraudulent rewards accounts ay? That explains something that happen to me the other day. My sister came to visit me from another state recently. She suggested I get a phone system with multi-handsets and an intercom because I am always hollering up the steps for my teenager.

I found one on sale at Staples and I had some rewards, but not enought to cover the cost of the phone. My niece has a Staples account as well and offered to help me make up the difference. My sister and I headed to the store, my niece did not tag along, but gave her printed rewards to my sister. We headed to the store and the manager who checked us out hassled us a little over using two different reward accounts to pay for the phone. We explained that we were from two different households and even admitted to her that it was actually my niece's card (who was not present) but my sister came in her place and could show a driver's license to prove the out of state address.

In the end the manager gave us the phone, but I am curious if there is any rule against two people combining their rewards, especially if persons from both households are present in the store?
