    QUESTION Penny sale question

    Hello,

I saw in my ad that the Extreme deal is with a $5 minimum purchase. It states in small print that minimum spend does not include tax or cost of any Extreme deal item.

I was wondering if the minimum spend is before or after coupons? Can I buy the sharpie markers for $1, use a coupon on them and still have that $1 go towards my $5 total?

    Thanks in advance,
    Gretchen

    I called and asked. . . .

The woman seemed unsure, but stated that since the ad does not exclude coupons, but only tax and the cost of the Extreme deal items, you should be fine to use your Sharpie coupon.

Personally, I am buying the multipurpose paper $5.99 before easy rebate, qualifies you for extreme deals, then send in easy rebate and get $.25 ream of paper (Limit 2 rebates).

I plan on doing it the same way, but I was curious about how they handled coupons with sale items for the future. I don't shop often at Staples, but I really want to get into it more.
This week's newspaper ads for Office Depot stated "purchases made with Office Depot Rewards and Merchandise cards do not qualify for rewards". I was wondering if the same holds true for Staples. I've never submitted a rebate with them, or did the ink cart. return. I'd like to roll them and wondered if that was allowed?

As of now, Staples rewards/coupons can be used on rebate items and you will get the full amount of your rebate baack but if you use any sort of coupons or Staples rewards to buy items that will earn you more Staples rewards the dollar value of the coupons/rewards used during the transaction will be deducted from the amount of award you will earn.

I just got my first check rebate from Staples this week after doing a printer paper rebate the week of June 5th, and it was as easy as their tagline claims.

I did the $0.25 deal this week, and opted for the Paypal option this time, which hopefully will go through a bit faster.

Rebates can be done online, just keep your receipt/rebate form and plug in what they ask for from it. It's been a while since I've done one but before they gave you the option of having a check mailed or a rebate card.

The rebates are super easy. Once you get registered the first time, all you have to do is login after that and enter a few numbers from the receipt.
