Okay, I'm a Staples semi-noob, I've never done an Easy Rebate: I want to get the free backpack and I have $30 in ink rewards; I have been reading all these conflicting posts about whether I would get the full purchase price back on the GC or not. Also, I remember seeing a post saying not to show your Rewards card when you make the purchase. I know the rules have changed recently, so if anyone knows for sure how this deal will work, I (and probably many others) would really appreciate it. Thank you.

I would think you would get the full rebate back, but I'm really unsure. I've never gotten a rebate back that was pro-rated because of coupons or rewards certificates, although the cash-back rewards are a different story.

I don't mess with the rewards that much...I usually use coupons.

Thanks! I need a backpack. The reams of paper are 1 cent again after rebate. They did this deal a few weeks ago. It says two per household. Does anyone know if I can do this again since it is a different week. I just did this deal about 2 weeks ago.

As long as the rebate numbers are different, you can. Just check the easy rebate numbers to make sure.

I got a pro-rated one back. I went from $30 to $1.

How do I check the rebate number. It isn't in the ad. Do I just have to ask them at the store?

The rebate number will be on the receipt. Some rebates run for a period of a few weeks or longer.....but lots of times its only for a week, meaning you can do it again next time it comes around.

if you use your rewards to purchase something that has rewards.....you will not earn the rewards on it. You get rewards only on things that you paid for out of pocket. I usually take my rewards and purchase something that has an easy rebate.....then I get the $$$$ back and use that $$$ on something that has more rewards or easy rebate.
