that's disappointing... but I do like all of these FAR items! And I must say, they are prompt with their rebates... you get them back pretty quickly

Awww man! I was really hoping for more penny deals. I do like the FAR items, but I'm not crazy about the backpack rebate coming in the form of Staples Rewards (in October). I'd much rather it was an easy rebate like the other offers.

I've never done Staple Rewards before. Does that mean that it comes back as money you can only use at Staples? Is it a $ off your next purchase of X? or is it a certificate for the exact amount you purchased for?

First you have to have a rewards account. Then you either have them scan your card at the checkout or enter the receipt online. Several months later you will receive a check for the amount of your rewards that can be used like cash at staples only. One thing you need to know about is that the rewards are only sent if you meet the minimum amount (I think it is $10, double check that, but most backpacks should be enough)

The great thing about Staples rewards is that they are usually pretty easy to turn into cash or a prepaid visa card. I can almost guarentee that during the time your reward check is valid there will be a FAR software deal. Buy it with your rewards check and get the full amount back on your rebate. The big drawback is that between waiting for the rewards check and software rebates it takes about 6 months to get your money back.

Can the title of this thread be changed?? There may not be any penny items, but there is a FREE name brand backpack!!! I mean, when can you ever get a FREE Jansport backpack. They are the best brand and usually run $30-$70!!!

I got the FAR pencil sharpener last year and I really liked it. I will probably get another one this year.
