Up until now Staples only accepted Dell, HP and Lexmark cartridges.

Hurray for our side (I have a Brother printer).

Per the ad we got today:

Recycle ANY ink or toner cartridge, up to 10 per calender month per customer, and receive $3 back in Staples Rewards per cartridge. Limit one Staples Rewards account per address. Visit StaplesRewards.com for full program details.

My husband and I have one Staples Rewards account -- he is a teacher so we use his account.

Per the StaplesRewards.com page for both teachers and standard rewards members they still have the old ink program information:

You can recycle your original HP, Dell, Lexmark or Kodak cartridges and you'll receive your $3 recycling savings back in Staples Rewards. Limit 3 cartridges per day. We will recycle additional cartridges, but Staples Rewards will only be issued for 3 per day. Limit of 1 Staples Rewards account per address

    *****

So I am wondering if it is in fact per customer if my husband and I can each do 10 per month and earn a total of $60 in rewards.

I have an old account with my old address but would need to get the stuff sent to me forwarded by my friends who live there now.

It is good that they now take any cartridge but I preferred it when you could do three per day.

As my husband says they keep closing the loopholes.

Me: OK well what do you have after a penny?
    USPS Employee: 2˘, 3˘, 4˘ and 5˘
Me: Fine. I will take the 5˘ ones.

I actually had to run into Staples today . . . I spoke to the manager who was super nice. He said it was in fact ten per customer and it is fine that we both have a card on his account so we can do ten each. He also said that if you hit upgraded status (premier status for a regular member after spending $1,000 per year or gold status for a teacher after spending $500 in a calendar year per the website) you can actually turn in 20 cartridges per month -- so if my husband and I hit the $500 threshold the next quarter we get upgraded and can actually turn in a total of 40 cartridges per month.

This sucks for me! Just last month I got rid of a bunch of Canon cartridges cuz there was no where to recycle them for money.
