Be careful. It says it is OEM. You may not get the original packaging. You need the original UPC & Serial Number sticker to submit the rebate.

In this case (I clicked on it for more details) it says:

It says the UPC was removed. You need it for the rebate. So, this wouldn't work.

I checked on this printer and found out that the seller has removed the UPC so it is not eligible for the HP rebate.

Usually they come in a plain white box with no labeling or UPC, don't have instructions, often don't have software and drivers included, etc. It is also usually quite a bit cheaper than "retail packaging" which is what you would find at your local Staples, but are usually not included in rebate offers.

The person who is selling the printer with no UPC is using the term incorrectly. I am quite sure he just bought a retail printer, sent in for the rebate, and is now selling the printer.

You are correct. I work in the Copier/office equipment industry and we use the term OEM all the time when selling toner/ink - it basically means the "real stuff" in our world as opposed to refurbished/refilled/generic toners, etc.
