I can't wait either! Now I'm wondering about Walmart price matching! Has anyone tried this?
Also, is this an in store only type of sale? or is it available online?

yes walmart do pice match them, but it has to be the same exact item. it also depends (YMMV) on the manager.

Do these products typically sell out quickly? Will there be any left if I'm not able to get to the store until late afternoon? Will they give you a rain check if they're out?

Last year we went on Sunday evenings (church in the morning) and there were still plenty to choose from. We're starting homeschooling this year so it will be a definite sale for us to hit.

same here last year, there was always plenty... I dont know that they give rainchecks. i think it might be while supplies last.

I was surprised that my Staples was not very busy at this sale last year - I dragged my mom with me so we could get 2 sets of everything. There was a lot of stock.
