Default re: X12/6/09 CoinStar: Cash in $40 - get an additional $10 (e-certificates only)

So if you have a lot of change sitting around, it sounds like you need to do this in $40 increments to get the $10 extra bonus - is there a limit per household ? Because if you did say $90 - you would only get a 10 bonus, not 20 is that correct?
Oh, just found my answer - it says limit 1 per name, address or household.

Its says you will receive a receipt at the end of the counting process, then you need to mail this in to receive the additional $10 gift card. My question is, Will the $10 gift card be the same as the $40 or something else?

I just did this yesterday.. and it printed a $40.05 amazon.com ecertificate and then at the bottom a portion for me to tear off and fill out with name addy, etc and mail to the marketing company or whomever it is that owns it. It is limit one/name/household but hey that 40 in change just turned into fifty!! They will then send me a $10 amazon.com giftcard to use as well.

Awesome deal :)

Does this work with the green dot cards?

How do you specify what company you want the extra 10 from?

Just wondering if any one counts their $$ before going to the coin star machine. I think the last time I used on I don't think it was keeping track very well and coins kept getting jammed in the thing. Just wondering. I would hate to miss the promotion because the machine gips me.

Gotta say when I did the promotion last year, I made sure to have pre-counted a little over $40 before redeeming. The machine was indeed accurate. I do appreciate your fears, though.

Last year, I just went to the bank and got rolls of quarters to use for this promotion.

I must say that the machine either ate a quarter or the bank gyped me a quarter, because I was short of my needed balance by $0.25! Luckily, I had some change in my purse; otherwise, I would have had to panhandle at the grocery store. I suggest precounting and taking a little extra, just in case.

I don't know what a green dot card is. The Coinstar machine is very simple to use and will walk you through the steps. At the point where asked, you indicate which e-cert you want from the ones listed. It will print you a receipt with a code on it. The same when you get the extra $10, it will be a code on a paper mailed to you, not an actual gift card.

This is what I want to do. Where there any restrictions for the Amazon e-certificate or expiration dates?

Thanks!

I'm not real happy with this promotion right now. I decided to give Coin Star a try for the first time just because of this promotion. I had exactly $40 in coins with me that had been counted no less than 3 times. The counter registered less than $38. I was able to add to it a bit with the small amount of coins I had in my purse. Sadly, I was $.21 - yep twenty-one cents - short of hitting the $40. Because the receipt specifically states "Transactions are final", there isn't much I can do. I did contact Coin Star and advise them this particular machine isn't counting correctly. I don't expect to hear back. I will not try this again - not even for the promotional offer.
