X New printable coupons policy - must read!

Thank you to LazyBear at PYP for this info!

This information is coming from Smith's Food & Drug headquarters Utah Division. Other Divisions may apply.

    INTERNET PRINTABLE COUPONS:

We will no longer accept Internet Printable coupons that WILL NOT scan.

We will no longer accept Internet Printable coupons that DO NOT appear to be original.

We will no longer accept Internet Printable coupons that are for FREE items or Buy One Get One Free items. (any coupon that specifies an item will be FREE to the consumer)

We will no longer accept Internet Printable coupons WITHOUT a valid Expiration Date.

If the Internet Coupons say DO NOT DOUBLE, we WILL NOT double those coupons.

We will limit the number of Internet Printable coupons to 2 per visit, per person.

When cashiers accept Internet Printable coupons, the Total of both coupons combined CAN NOT be more than $5 during a single transaction.

(Example: .75 cpn + $4.50 = $5.25 - this is NOT acceptible. The Customer will be able to use the $4.50 coupon, but not combined together with the .75 coupon)

(Example: A single Internet Printable coupon valued at over $5.00 for a single item, such as Dogfood coupons, WILL NOT be acceptible.)

Just FYI, in case I was not clear, this is a brand new internet coupon policy. Some have speculated that it was in response to the Juicy Juice coupon. So, if you have done any of these things before now you were not violating any policies.

Also, I personally found out they just stopped taking the Albertsons $5 off $50 and similar like they used to. I need to double check if they are still taking competitor Rx coupons with all these changes to their coupon policies going on!

The Smith's I visit has never accepted competitor's coupons in any way, shape, or form.... You were lucky!

humm...thats a odd policy. Is this posted at the registers or anything cause I have not seen anything like this at my store although its been a few weeks since I have couponed in there with anything more than 1 or 2 coupons...

Seems to me that they need to post this stuff in the store and on thier website. Sucks that a handfull of people have ruined it for the rest of us.

I use IP's at my local Smiths in Kingman and Bullhead City AZ with no issues. Most times I have six or seven. I mainly use them at Wal-Mart
