Yes -- Sometimes a cashier will have to get a manager's override on manually entered or beeping coupons.

Does Smith's accept printable coupons?

yes -- happily at my store; but, it is a YMMV some managers choose not to take them.

Does Smith's give overage?

yes-- at my store, but, again, it is a YMMV: some managers choose not to exceed the cost of item. The coupons do beep, so some cashiers or managers may adjust the coupon amount to the product's price.

Another way to get overage is during promotional sales of Buy x number get $ off your order. (like Mega Sale buy 10 get $5 off your order) For example, if you buy 10 tuna pouches at 99ข each shelf price and you have 10 coupons for 75ข off tuna and then you save $5 for buying 10 participating items, your receipt will look like this:
10 x 0.99 = 9.90
10 x 0.75 = 7.50 -
promo for buying 10 = 5.00-
2.60 overage towards other items in your order

What is Smith's Rain Check Policy?

Smith's policy is to offer a raincheck on items that are out of stock, unless the ad specifies "quanitities limited" or "while supplies last" (case lot sales are often while supplies last). Smith's rainchecks expire in 30 days. (Thanks, Queen!)

How do I get rewards?
You will earn 1 point for every $1 you spend on nearly everything in the store (see restrictions below). You will get $5 in rewards certificates for every 500 points you collect. rewards certificates are good toward future purchases at Smith's Food and Drug stores.
How do I get my rewards, and when?
Your rewards certificates will be mailed to you every 3 months. See table below for approximate in-home dates:

Over what time period can I get points?
Points accumulate from January 1 to December 31. There is no limit to the number of rewards certificates you can get in a year. Points do not carry over from year to year and any remaining points at the end of the year reset to zero. See examples below:

Yes! The rewards program incorporates all the benefits of your Fresh Values card, with the addition of rewards.

Where can I update my information if I move and change my email address?
Stop by any Smith's store, go to Smithsfoodanddrug.com, or call 1-800-764-8897.
*Restrictions:
Accumulate points in every department except fuel, prescriptions, Kroger or Smith's gift cards, postage stamps, lottery tickets, Western Union, money orders, transit passes, fees, phone activation, sales tax, Ticketmaster, alcohol, tobacco, and any products prohibited by law. You will earn points on purchases of gift cards other than gift cards from Kroger or Smith’s.

I don't see anything in my weekly ad about this one. And nothing on TV, although I don't think I have ever seen a TV ad for any of the grocey stores here come to think of it.

So it looks like you sign up at the customer service desk right? Ill have to check that out.
