    DD3 Smith's Food & Drug -- Awesome MEAT prices this week 2/17 - 2/23!!

I restocked the freezer today after my Smith's trip!

Petite Sirloins $1.99/lb in the Super Value Packs

I had the butcher grind two packs into ground beef. He said it's at least 90/10 maybe even leaner. Much leaner in look than the 85/15 on sale for $1.89/lb (still a great deal!)

    Also, Rump Roast is $1.99/lb.

    Chicken breasts are also $1.99/lb

Chicken leg quarters are in store at 79¢/lb.

I lucked out at meat markdowns with 2/19 dates on Jennie-0 90/10 ground turkey at 89 for a 1 lb tube.

It was a quick trip so I don't have any other deals to post.

Thanks for the heads up. I will have to go pick up some of the petite sirloins.

I have been trying to determine the best day for meat markdowns...from my observation the past few times I have gone it seems that Tuesday (morning) is good as I find all sorts of good markdowns in the meat department (and dairy department too)

Anyone else find a pattern to it?

I've noticed they do the markdowns a day or two before the use by date. I try to check the use by dates on the items I usually purchase, then check a day or two before in the mornings. I've also found items with a use by date of that day, and ask the butcher if he will do a markdown on it, they have done it in the past, sometimes they don't catch everything, and they would rather sell it than have to toss it the day after.

I love, love the Jennie-O Turkey Sausage Breakfast Links, one time I found like 5 packs on markdown for .99/each, I scooped them up and put them in the freezer!

Ad day right after noon has been lucky for me lately!!! 89¢/lb Jennie-O ground turkey in the tubes 90/10!!! I love dairy markdowns as well. However, some cashiers won't allow a markdown and a coupon --- according to customer service, it is okay as long as the markdown scans as the correct item.
