ShopRite coming to Niskayuna, NY!

I'm so excited! ShopRite is coming to Niskyauna, NY - which is about 20 minutes away from me. It will be SO NICE to have some competition for PriceChopper. I was looking at PC grocery ad and was disgusted! $4.00 for a loaf of bread, $4.95 for a lb of butter, 3/$5 for oranges - I hope ShopRite is better.

Now comes the fun part - I know nothing about ShopRite - will the have "grand opening" specials for the new store, or would it be the same items that are in the flyer posted here?

check out shoprite .com and get thier card and sign up for everything!! I am 20 mins away too...delaying my visit for awhile..am hearing it was a madhouse up thar!!

Want to go check it out....having a new grocery store is great for competition. I read in the newspaper that the other stores are stepping up their deals the next few weeks as a result! Yes!

drove up at 2 the second day( traffic became congested near there, so it took me 1/2 hour) and circled the parking lot once with 40 others, turned around and went to Price Chopper...will try again next week...maybe it will have calmed down ( they aren't 24 hours or I woulda gone there late)

I'm hoping to make it there mid-week... maybe when it's during the "off hours" it won't be so busy. Every time I drive past on the weekends it's PACKED.

Haven't gotten there yet...drove by on a ride with Hubby...430 on Monday...packed still...I missed the chicken sale...oh la...maybe this week....
