    HELP Store Manager Disagreed

I was at shoprite today. When I checked out, cashier would not scan most of my coupons. I asked for manager. He said that i could not combine the coupons I presented.

I had a coupon for 1.50 off 10 yoplait greek yogurt. I had a second one for 1.00 off 6 yoplait greek yogurt. I had a third coupon for .75 off two.

I only purchased 10 with the intention of using all three coupons on those ten. None of the coupons read: "No other coupon is to be used with this coupon".

So, I dont understand what was wrong. Would an expert couponer please education me on this? I appreciate it.

When you use the first coupon that states $1.50/10, you can't use any other coupons on those ten items. Had you purchased 18 yogurts, you would have been able to use all three of those coupons.

Some stores allow you to "stack" store and manufacturer coupons. You may want to check out the articles on the left, starting with Couponing 101. These have lots of very helpful information!

What margiejohnson stated is correct. ShopRite does not allow ''stacking'' of coupons, which is what you were doing. It's an honest mistake that many make. Now, had you had a ShopRite STORE coupon along w/ the $1.50/10 mani coupon, then you could use both. But you can't use 2 mani coupons on the same item(s).

Come join us in the ShopRite forum and we can all help you as well! Look forward to see you there. And keep asking questions. It's how we all learn. Also remember to read, read, read!!!

Yes in a way they all say just that on them...."one coupon per purchase" that is what that means..that you cant use more then one coupon on the same item/items.

thank you very much for your help on the "stacking" of coupons at Shoprrite. so, then only way you can save a lot is using mani coupon with store coupon on a sale item. I get it now.

Everyone is correct in saying you can't "stack" multiple coupons on the same item/s.

But you can still save mucho bucks by choosing which coupon to apply. With your 1.50/10 coupon you only save .15 per item. With your .75/2 coupon (which gets doubled) you are saving .75 per item.
And, of course, you try to apply coupons to items when they are already on sale.

CTCMC is correct, but you (OP) also need to find out if your SR is a 'fully doubling' store. Meaning, will they double coupons $.99 and less at the full amount? Or only up to $1.00? Example: If I use a $.75/1 coupon, it is fully doubled to $1.50 off. Always double check your math to find the best savings for you. Just because you have the $1.50/10 coupon, doesn't mean it's the best deal. I would use 4 of the $.75/2 b/c it would give me a total of $6.00/8. KWIM?
