Heads up Jackson Shoprite shoppers...new coupon policy being enforced!

My daughter went to Shoprite this evening to blow out my Pizza roll coupons. She was doing 5 separate transactions and got told that their "new" policy is to only allow the use of 4 like coupons per person per day.

I called to inquire about it when she got home and was told that they got word from their parent company, (who, btw, when you call them to ask a question about their coupon policies tells you that each store has their own policy and corporate is not involved), that they must enforce this new policy.

You can, of course, walk out and come back in and do another order because then you are considered a "new" customer.

Thats how it is at the one in Manahawkin as well... 4 like coupons per transaction...

If you read the fine print on the bottom of their flyer it states limit 4 like coupon per person per week..

Hi fellow Jackson shopper...I too found out that "now" they only allow 4 like coupons. I said, its okay I know the 5th will not double..I still wanted my 50c off, since I had a ton of the yogurt coupons to use by 10/8. She said "no" only 4 is permitted. That stinks!! I am starting to prefer Stop&Shop and Acme more and more. Enough of ShopRite silly rules!!

4 like coupons per transactions has always been their policy for as long as I can remember.

I will do some digging and see what I can find in regards to some new changes.

We are all going to need to contact our individual stores to check their coupon policies as this http://www.shoprite.com/cnt/CouponPolicy.html hasn't changed.

"We will double up to four identical coupons per household per day unless further restricted by the manufacturer." <---that has been in place for a very long time.

In the flyer at the bottom of the page in the teeny, tiny print:
"In order to assure a sufficient supply of sale items for all our customers, we must reserve the right to limit purchases of any sale item to 4 purchases, per item, per customer, per week, except where otherwise noted."

"Only one manufacturer coupon may be used per item and we reserve the right to limit manufacturer coupon redemptions to four (4) identical coupons per household per day, unless otherwise noted or further restricted by manufacturer"

These policies have been in place for a long time. I think w/ 'that show' a lot of stores are getting more and more nervous about couponers and are really starting to push their policies. B/c they are independently owned, we will all have a YMMV on it. Please double check w/ your stores on a regular basis and keep everyone posted!

Not if the policy is per customer per day. Clearly by adding the "per day" stipulation they are saying they consider you the same customer even if you make multiple visits in a day.

I'm only repeating what customer service told me when I called.
